I'm from MN and we mostly have tow ropes for our terrain parks. They will usually shred my gloves apart in a couple of weeks. I've used glove protectors before but they didnt really work for me. I was wondering if anyone knew anything I could do.
for the club fields in New Zealand we use a good set of leather gloves. The best ones are those nabbed from the meatworks and such. But otherwise get yourself a pair of kinco pigskin gloves; as long as you wax them they stay waterproof and will last pretty much for ever.
get kinkos m8 they last a whole season, u need to get size medium or large so they have extra padding
sometimes good ol' fashioned duct tape is the best way to do it. That and a set of Kinco's. Give'r Gloves are great too, but are more expensive.
Get Choppers man, Kincos are great. I had off brand choppers for most of last sEason and they held up really good without glove protectors on. Find a thicker pair and you should be set
started wearing kincos when I worked at the resort years ago and now I won't spend my money on any other glove
Always try to grab the rope when you are moving with it. Just carve a 180 at the bottom of the park and grab on from there instead of completely stopping and grabbing on

Basically this. Helps so much to be able to grab the rope when you're moving even if youre not going full speed. I've skied days at Troll without gloves doing this. Gloves only get fucked up when you get on from a dead start ie early/late season when eveyrone and their brother is there.
I didnt use any gloves at windells and it fucking shreded my hand

Are you grabbing the metal rope or the handles?
KretzschmarAre you grabbing the metal rope or the handles?
Handles. Kids just get straps and what not tangled on the rope and their gear would get sucked into the bull wheel at the top
Swandog7And that's a T bar. Try a full rope tow
Its not a tbar?

this works great forsure, but when parks get busy there no way your going to be able to 180 carve in, at cannonsburg ( in michigan) even with 5 tow rope parks there can be hectic lines, only option than is to snake or be snaked OR deal with ripped gloves if you dont have kinkos

J bar. Whatever it is, its not a tow rope.

I thought it was a tow rope with the little silicon dildo things on it?

Well its a slow moving metal wire with j bars (dildo things) attached on them, meaning, well its not a tow rope. Legit tow ropes are literally long as rope that you just grab onto without any dildo thing attached that go like 4x as fast. You basically can move into the rope anywhere you want, instead of waiting for a dildo at the bottom. Commonly found anywhere in the midwest and a few east coast places such as Seven Springs

Gets you the fastest laps on the planet. Mostly found in MN, WI, IL and like PA. Not many around, but they should be. Only problem is the park gets rutted out and gets icy at the ropening and fucks your gloves and side of your jacket sometimes
