i am having a really hard time deciding wether to get the ft classics or the descendants for this years season. i am a beginner but i can do dubs on trampoline and i am hoping to take some stuff to snow this year, and i wanna make sure i have good boots. anybody have any idea?
People will tell you to go to a bootfitter, frankly because that is the best option.
However, to give you an idea, Descendants are wider, while the Classics have a narrower footprint. Descendants have varying degrees of stiffness per model, while the Classics have the one flex (6/10 I believe), yet each boot can change its stiffness by replacing tongues. Generally, park skiers have a softer flex for more forgiving landings.
Regardless, just get a boot that fits and feels right. Don't buy online. Support your local business and get what feels best.

Why Full Tilt?
Have you measured your other options?
Full Tilt makes a solid boot; however, it is about finding a boot that fits you. I've been on full tilt for about six years now, and realized that they are not the most durable (but the most flashy and hyped) and they do not fit my foot the best. I made the mistake of going out and buying the flashiest FT boot when I got into skiing, although they didn't fit me.

the only other company i can think of is dalbello and they seem really heavy, but i have never tried them on, so i wouldn't truly know. and i am still growing so they probably wont last 2 seasons.
i like the classics but there too narrow for a lot of people.buying boots online isn't bad if you know what boot works for you .
If you go to get boots fitted with your mind already set on what you want without truly knowing what fits you then you're setting yourself up for failure.
Go to a good boot fitter, don't ask to try on Full Tilt's, let the boot fitter assess your feet and then try on what is recommended. You may find the boots that fit you best are actually a pair of race boots or something, you don't need park boots to ski park you need boots that fit.

My only advice is don't be a weight weenie unless you are doing huge tricks you aren't going to notice 200 grams.
