Is it?
haven't skied there but from what I've heard if there's snow it's amazing, if there isn't it sucks.
my brother was there on a midweek pretty dead pow day a while ago and skied some chute you can see from the chairlift (dunno what one). first one down. riding back up the lift and saw the chute had completely slid out. that's gotta make you nervous.

I've skied there when there hasn't been fresh a while and you're half right. The lift set up is a bit weird so you for the top section you can still find some really fun steep skiing in a lot of the chutes. Not fresh but still great skiing on decent snow. The trouble is the lack of a mid station on the gondy means you have to go all the way to the bottom to hit it again which can mean some pretty shitty skiing lower down.
Ive worked a season there as a lifty (14/15) even though it was one of the worst snow seasons in recent history. The hill was still ridiculous! only thing it lacks though is park.
