did Bernie drop out or did Hillary reach the needed delegates?

Neither. She "clinched" the nomination with superdelegates but technically she is not the nominee yet.
What are people going to say when Sanders' inevitably endorses Clinton as well?

"At least it's not Trump".
Honestly that should be her campaign slogan. I'd vote for a fucking dog before Trump. Funny thing is, I actually think Trump would be a very good second term president because I don't think he actually believes in 90% of the bullshit he says.

Trump doesn't believe in half the shit he says and knows he isn't going to win. He has in the past supported Hilary and from my perspective it looks like he's trying to make the GOP look as foolish as possible. It's all a fucking show and the Commission on Presidential Debates is merely a private corporation. It's a duopoly which allows the major party candidates to draft secret agreements about debate arrangements including moderators, debate format and even participants. Hadn't American citizens seen this with Bush and Nader. He was not allowed to debate because Bush was a little stupid pussy. The arrested him.
IT'S NOT A DEBATE, and the result is fucking travesty riddled with non-contentious arguments which consistently exclude alternative voices that Americans want to hear but that's what happens when the US is a oligarchy corporatocracy. Nothing will change.

The idea of Trump being a good president is very interesting. Part of me genuinely believes he could be a great president. The larger majority of me thinks he's pandering to the lowest common denominators in America and doesn't believe 87% of shit he's saying. And just wants to president because he's extremely egotistical.
