I'm debating getting either on3p kartels on jskis allplays which are similar sized skis so I want to know if there are any big differences between the two?
kartels are stiffer and more badass for sure. im biased cause i dont like J skis or Lines for the most part but assuming theyre similar in price, and you dont prefer a noodle for a ski, go kartels
ON3P's are going to be a stiffer ski along with being (in my opinion) more durable than the Jskis.
I have Jskis and I like them a lot, but i've never had kartels.
I'm going to be honest, i'd go with the kartels. All i've ever heard about them is good.
The only skis I would spend money on atm is first HG, On3p, then Ninthward. My HGs have 100+ days on them, plus the new ski replacement program is pretty boss. ON3P has a solid warranty program as well.
Kartel 98's are my everyday ski, though I have ridden all-plays as well. I rode whip-its for a whole season so I have an idea of the durability.
If I could rate the flex out of 10, 1 being soft and 10 being stiff, All-plays would be a 3 and Kartels would be a 7. They are both lightweight skis, I've received a lot of comments that the Kartels look heavy, but the bamboo core makes them feel pretty light. Kartels are 100% the best choice if you ski a lot of all-mountain and air it out quite a bit. If you are more of a rail skier and you stick to the park, the J Skis will be fine. Shredding all mountain with my J Skis felt like driving a car without suspension... just not enough support. It really depends on your skier type which ski suits you best.
Both skis have thick edges and durable bases, but the Kartels have better topsheets/sidewalls IMO.

Thanks everyone but what about the liberty sequences compared to the kartels? Do the sequnces do well in the park or not really?
Even better, get the whip it's for park and kartel 106 for pow

I'd be getting the 98 not the 106 for a park/ all mountain ski

Just pull the trigger, dude. Mine still look like new after 60 days on them. The hype around them is because there aren't really any bad things to say about them... it's strange but true.
go and look at the team pages on both websites and distinguish who you like more.
do you want to be like Karl or Steve Stepp?? It's really that simple

This is great advice you should give it more often.

I see what you did there.
The Allplay will fall apart if you're riding it in the park all day. Mine lasted about a week. Pretty fun, but durability wise, worst ski I've ever owned
