I'll pretty much just give all the information I know.
Okay as Thredbo is my home resort, I'll let you know a few things.
Thredbo is a 'steeper' mountain compared to Perisher. Perisher has better and more parks. It doesn't have a village compared to Thredbo.
If you're going to Thredbo, get a few donuts from the kiosk (at the bottom of Friday Flats). There's also the recreation centre where there's a gym/trampoline centre.
Early season will generally suck. The jump line is generally takes a few weeks to be built as there is not enough snow. Mid way though the season is 'generally' when all the terrain parks are built, but once again it really depends on the season.
Don't duck under ropes. I did last year, I was literally skiing on a few inches of snow (was like glue).
Everything is overpriced at the mountains. A pie is like $6.
Jindy-ehh. not much to say. it's kinda shity. If you go to Woolies (Woolworths), and then out to a courtyard/plaza place, there is a bakery of sorts. The thick shakes there are pretty magical.
Pretty much everything in Jindy is overpriced as well. My personal favourite ski store is ESS, it's a shop which sells freestyle orientated stuff. All the shops are pretty close.
There's also a skatepark if that rides your boat.
For accomodation there's this caravan place, and it's really nice. They have demountables which is relatively cheap and there's a kitchen. It's pretty much on the t junction where the road splits to either Thredbo or Perisher.
For food, there's this Malaysian restaurant called Maiya asian cuisine or something. It's pretty good and not too expensive. It's near the caravan park.
Hope this helps, feel free to ask me any questions.
