I just bought a pair of full tilt booters and on the liner it says they're 25.5's and the shell is 26.5. Is this normal or did I get fucked over?
which boots? i have the first chairs and my liners are 25.5 and the boots are 25.5
the old influence shell from FT used one shell for two sizes. pull your boot board out and you will see a tombstone of rubber at the toe in order to make your shell feel like the inside of a 25.5 and not a 26.5. Really weak way of saving money on cost.
HabitualShredI have the 2013 full tilt booters
yeah..pull your boot board out and report back to us with your findings
frankcolderyeah..pull your boot board out and report back to us with your findings
the boot board is a 25.5. So the shell is a full size bigger (26.5)
also when i do all the buckles up and the strap, even when on the last buckle the top cable has no tension on it. is that bad?

do you know what a boot board is? Its in-between the liner and the shell under your foot

sorry meant to quote that.... its the rubber insole is it not?
yeah, when you pull it fully out is there a rubber tombstone on the front of it? like a toe cap looking thing? i don't think there is a technical term for it.

Yeah there is... is that bad or good?
good....to an extent. Good because you weren't screwed, thats how the boots are designed. That tombstone is how FT compensated for the extra volume in your "25.5" boot. FT saved money on molds by splitting sizing up into half the amount of molds. Luckily, they did away with this design in the new Descendant model. On the bright side if your foot grows you won't need a new boot, just a new boot board/liner lol

so thats normal and fine then? also when my boot is done up all the way the top cable has a bit of slack in it is that bad?

Oh my god this exactly how my Mary Janes are. I tighten the top buckle and its never actually tight. My liners say 25.5 but the shell is 26.5. I never thought it was an issue though. Maybe I am wrong.
it is normal for those influence shells to be like that, its not normal for the wires to be loose tho. who fit you? have you tried moved the wires anchor point?
