Pretty simple questions. I want to know if there is one side that has a majority.
Lel nice try, everyone knows that left foot forward is the natural way
I wish I learned to slide rails left foot first, because I spin to the left, so I'd be spinning frontside all day.
Left. Everyone should learn to slide both ways though.
Right foot forward. Always goofy on a skateboard and spun 180s to the left when I started so it made sense.
i see maybe one person hit a rail left foot forward every day im in the park. you guys are like unicorns for real
I ride a board left foot forward but slide rails right foot forward. I think its just because i spin to left naturally
right foot forward and spin left cause I sk8 goofy..... regular people are fucking weird why would you not olie and flip with yo right foot
HAMNATIONright foot forward and spin left cause I sk8 goofy..... regular people are fucking weird why would you not olie and flip with yo right foot
Yup this is also the reason why I grind right foot forward.
I believe that it's similar to skate/snowboard with the regular and goofy stance. It's fundamentally the same thing, one foot in front of the other. Therefore right foot forward IMO is regular and the opposite is goofy.
The norm seems to be left side spinning, right foot forward on rails and looking over your left shoulder going switch. There's the occasional weirdo who's a mismatch of everything. But sometimes it opens up different possibilities for tricks. Like if you spin left but are more comfortable with your left foot forward, 270 on is slightly easier.
Always right foot forward, but going switch on I go left foot forward.
L0gicI wish I learned to slide rails left foot first, because I spin to the left, so I'd be spinning frontside all day.
same, like i spin almsot all of my 3's to the left, but i always spin to the right whenever i hit a rail.

Yeah I go left foot forward on rails but spin right. I ride a skateboard right foot forward though so its not super hard to transition that to rails right food forward.
Right foot for days. I spin left but look over my right shoulder riding switch. Getting in to switch spins is gonna be awkward, anyone have that problem? Do I just start hucking blender or grow a pair and learn spins the other waaaaay?
Any way your natural spin direction is usually feels more comfy including rails
Not_GoodRight foot for days. I spin left but look over my right shoulder riding switch. Getting in to switch spins is gonna be awkward, anyone have that problem? Do I just start hucking blender or grow a pair and learn spins the other waaaaay?
Look over your other shoulder, I'm the same exact way as you. I know it's awkward but you'll get used to it.

same problem here with the switch thing, just learn to ride switch looking left. easier than blenders, easier than spinning right. its taken me like a whole season to start taking off of jumps looking left but its so worth it
The.FishI ride a board left foot forward but slide rails right foot forward. I think its just because i spin to left naturally
Same here. I have never even tried left foot forward. I might see what happens. $10 says I fall on my ass.

I thought the same thing a week ago and had the sams outcome XD. I can slide left foot forward if i swap to it tho, its weird
What's even more ofd is that if I run and just slide on ice in my shoes, by default my left foot is forward.
I learned to look over my left shoulder so I can hit jumps but now I can't do normal sw lips anymore. If I do I have to do it to unnatty.
Right foot forwards. I'm awful at left foot forward.
Mr.BishopRight foot forwards. I'm awful at left foot forward.
Its actually a lot easier than you think, and I suck at park.
.CJ.Its actually a lot easier than you think, and I suck at park.
Yeah I mean I know that in theory. Really it wasn't a big deal to be able to slide both ways back when I was doing a ton of park. So maybe it's time to just hit up and learn.

yeah it seems like it is all mental, like riding switch seemed so scary at first
Bennett_Wareyeah it seems like it is all mental, like riding switch seemed so scary at first
Skiing is like 90% a mental game for me lol
The.FishI ride a board left foot forward but slide rails right foot forward. I think its just because i spin to left naturally
This. I hit rails on a snowboard with my left foot first but hit rails on skis with my right foot first
I spin to the left on ski but on the right in a tramp. Sounds weird right? I can almost huck a 1260 or 1440 straight unnatural, then I try to spin tit he left left like all my flips and I can barely 540.

That's weird haha. When i first started learning 5s i could only do them right on trampolines and left on skis. I ended up figuring it out tho.

Probably a good thing for learning to spin both ways.
I spin right, rails with left foot Forward, right handed and doing rod/flats left sided
fuck me right
Dunderflipi see maybe one person hit a rail left foot forward every day im in the park. you guys are like unicorns for real
We're a rare breed

Same, and I though about trying to switch it but then I said fuck it.
i skate goofy, slide right foot forward on rails, spin left, look over my right shoulder when skiing switch, spin to the right when skiing switch too so if i were to do a switch 1 i would spin right bc i look over that shoulder but if i just did a regular 1 i spin left naturally

Jesus christ man are we some kind of parent trap twins? If you write and drink left handed, but do everything else (baseball, hockey, throw and catch football, kick) right handed/footed than its for sure. We gotta get Satan and our mom back together.

You have this backwards. Left foot forward is a regular stance. Right foot forward is goofy.

lol i write right handed, i can drink either left or right handed (but who drinks with just one hand man thats weird), but i do most sports right footed/handed. it's weird tho bc i can do some things ambidextrously. i play pool and shoot a gun left handed also which is weird

I am that weirdo. Spin right, left foot forward on rails, look over my left shoulder switch (originally, I've learned to look over both) and switch spins are better to the left. I'm a clusterfuck and a half
Left foot forward when just hitting the rail straight, not spinning. When I do my 2 on front 2 off I land on the rail with my right foot forward. When it comes to jumps I rotate the opposite direction its weird.
I learned to hit rails left foot forward but I can grind both feet forwards since im able to do kfeds and such.. Its weird tho that i cork 7-> and bio/rodeo to right but cork 3 and 5 (+ misty 5 -> on tramp) to left.. Anyone else facing same kind of "problems"? :D
