Lots of threads have been made with people trying to do school reports/projects/papers on skiing and honestly the general consensus is it's really hard to do and not quite worth the effort. But, if you're dead-set or locked into this topic, I would start off on the wikipedia page on freeskiing and get some of the cited sources on there: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freeskiing
I'd also look up specific information on some of the pioneers in the movement and how it progressed.
Also would recommend watching the vice doc on the subject as it's pretty good at summarizing the story of how we got where we are today in skiing. It's a bit long but worth a watch if you haven't seen it.
Pick a new topic, thats my advice. Everyone always tries to write school papers about skiing and I did too. i found it was way too hard, there are so many easy topics with a plethora of information vs skiing with almost zero comparatively.

I disagree, write about what you're passionate about. This way you will care more about the end result of your report, and it will feel like less work during the process!
Thanks boys! This is all really helpful. I know what I want to say and all, I just need to have a few credible sources to cite. It's just for a speech so it shouldn't be that bad. Thanks again

Exactly this. I did my Web design final project on Freeskiing and put in work trying to find info and getting it all together, its a great feeling when you can talk about your paper and like/know what you are talking about
^ YEsh. I love your guys stuff and sense of humor. DO you have a channel on de old HUB i can check out?
agree with Eheath.
Some school projects are ok, but anything where you have to cite accurate sources you will have a hard time writing about skiing. There just isn't alot out there that's credible from your teacher's eyes.
maybe angle in on a specific aspect of skiing as a whole that CAN and has been documented if you need to do a ski related project. competitions, costs of gear, number and type of participants, etc.
Just trying to write about double corks and rail slide type skiing is setting yourself up for a C at best.
