I can either get a tramp or build a rail setup, what would u guys do?
Imo i would rather have a tramp. Summer setups are a lot of work and you cant always apply ticks youve learned on short pvc tubes to the metal rails of a ski area

Jumps but my rails r weak so I thot I'd build it to get them better
Get a tramp. There's only so much you can learn with a summer setup. (Unless you build a ton of crazy rails and have a huge yard. If that's the case, then I'd get a summer setup)
Coming from someone who has had both i would say my summer setup helped me a ton and really improved my rail game, before it i could barely slide rails and now i can blind swap, k-fed etc. . My trampoline didn't help with much but thats because I havent went for much on snow other than backflips and 360. So basically, If you are a jump person trampoline is almost a necessity for getting comfortable on tricks rather than learning them first time on snow, and a great way to kill time over the summer, but if you want to be really good at rails then get a setup and put some hard work into building it.. you wont regret it.
Sometimes professional help is important with tramp if you aren't going to get pads etc. if you enjoy jumps more get the tramp, if you like rails get rails, or base it on skill level. I would make a rail setup because there is more variety to tricks you can do on rails then on a tramp, plus rails are fun and IMO less tiring then tramp work. Hope it helps.
is it space that is an issue or money? if its money get the trampoline and just get all the materials for the rail set up from a construction site. shits free
Honestly, I would think this through. Do you have trampoline/gymnastics facilities near you that you could use to practice jumps? Lots of times they will have olympic tramps which are way better than regular tramps. That way you could build a summer setup while still being able to practice both rails and jumps. If not tho, I would go with the tramp. I didn't have a summer setup (but had a tramp) the past summer so I just used these carpet shoe things on a metal pole. Works aight if you have no other choice
first off if you ask any real coach if tramp translates to snow they will tell you not at all excluding simple flips (backies, fronts, flats, etc) the pop is different the throw angle is off its not at all the same. if you go to any ski training facility all the little kids can throw dubs, but can they cork 7 or rodeo 5 on snow, nope. the only thing trams really train is air awareness, which is essential.
a summer rail setup translates immediately to snow, so if you want to get good at rails fast and have a nice big backyard than the setup is easily the way to go.
i think tramps are way more fun though

I'm in whistler so bounce is around the corner but I feel like being to practice tramp whenever I want whenever I want without having to pay 20$ every time I go is better imo
Unless you are getting some flips down like flat 3, rodeo, and learning corks, go with he setup. Both are limited to tricks. Do you want rails or some small flips
i have a summer setup, and yea its fun being able to jib in the summer but they are definitely a lot more work than a quick tramp sesh, and the tricks are pretty limited. you will, however, get amazingly good at swaps haha
Summer setup. Period. Endless sketchy rail combos. It helps your rail Game so much. I went from barely locking onto to rails, to swaps, kfeds, switch on, 2s on, +others, and the confidence/balance/scissoring ability for rails
also so my resort has no jumps, so I built a rather large setup Since I really have no hope for nice jumps like park city, Jackson, or targhee. I do have to say it's paid off.
Sick thx guys I think I'm gonna get a tramp cuz I wanna learn inverts thx for all ur guys help rlly appreciate it
