So this happened today. They rip out about 6 inches on either side. Not far enough down to effect carving. Should I cut them off or just try to make another duct tape cap to hold them in? Never really had an edge problem like this.
This happened to my buddy... he used a shoe lace. Not sure how, but it's definitely possible.
This happened to me when I was skiing on a pair of Salomon threats a while back, although I only lost about a three-inch portion on the very back of the tip. I cut it and it was fine for me- but you have a lot more of the edge pulling out than I did
put back in and then screw some small screw so they stay in place, if you cant don tghdaqtt then probably take it to s a shop for help; other wise just cut emote i mean if your park pair it doesn't really matter much i dunno the qual off the base on k2 but i been skiing g for a season on faction that are missing a little bit of edge and the base hasn't been affected yet so yeah
I have this same thing happening to my Line step ups. I can get through a day a of shredding with duct tape, but I have to redo the tape everytime I go out. Some shops have caps for the tips they'll throw on for like ten bucks and it just helps tie everything back together. I'm all for diy but maybe check around at some shops and see what solutions are out there before you repair them yourself.

that was painful to read
cut them off and fill with epoxy, then you have custom 3/4 edge wrap
