So, a year ago I was able to throw back flips and other air tricks, but last year I got surgery on my kneecap and was out for the season. Since then, I haven't tried to throw flips out of being scared. Do you guys have any tips or tricks to get over the fear of throwing flips? K+ for good answers.
For flips I imagine my rotation before I go out and try it. Possibly get it down on a tramp first. On the day your at the hill hit the jump a couple times. Make sure things are feeling good, landings nice. Than get super pumped and huck for it.
If you can still toss one up on a trampoline or something, you're good to go. Just treat it like any other trick. Don't make a big deal out of it.
I broke my leg last year. This year I was scared too but if you just do it, it feels the same.
There are no tips other than do it on the tramp, everything you try in park skiing might be scary but you have to go for it man Ik the feeling of that. I broke my ankle badly skateboarding and when I went back to the park I was nervous to try anything but I went and did everything I normally could. You have to have a tough mindset but all I can say is that your body remembers the feeling of you doing it even if you're nervous. So send it.
