OMG I'M SO EXCITED!!! I AM VOTING BECAUSE WE NEED A WOMAN PRESIDENT ... trollface.jpg
So who is a more viable candidate?
Bernie? whose policies are so radical they have no fucking chance in hell of being put into place, let alone the guy getting more than 20% of the general vote.
Trump? the frontrunner in the Republican party? yeah. thats a great option.
Who is the better option than hilary? seriously, use adult, real world thinking here.

Rand Paul and Sanders are the only two options I would even consider to be real options who are in the presidential race to make a change for the better. Everyone else is just bought out by big banks and corporations.

No chance in hell?
My adult, real world thinking was savvy enough to see that Sanders was going to be very very popular all the way back in April.
Listen to what little logic you possess and accept that voting for Hilary is voting for the establishment that has failed us.
Go ahead and roll over for Hillary. By supporting her you are supporting failure, you are supporting the elitist who care only for themselves. Good Job.
Last year in the wake of the VA waitlist scandal, Bernie sponsored the most comprehensive veterans legislation in decades. He then partnered with Sen. John McCain to get it passed into law. Sanders' bill, known as the Veterans CHOICE Act, greatly improved VA dental and healthcare by expanding access. It hired more doctors and nurses to see us, created more VA hospitals for more convenient appointments, and improved transparency and accountability in the VA. It expanded educational opportunities by preventing states from denying in-state college tuition to military members, and guaranteed those same benefits to surviving spouses. Bernie's bill also created new measures to put veterans back to work. Without question, Bernie would be the first to acknowledge that more must be done, but his bill was a major step in the right direction. As President, we know Bernie will fight to fix what's broken at the VA and ensure Veterans are taken care of when we return home.
californiagrownbrah its called unelectable.Right now youre speaking like a head in the clouds, not in reality 18 year old.
you are definitely 18 years old the way your asserting yourself by using belittling forms of passive aggressiveness. An "adult" would consider all candidates in the party and choose one that represents their values, not shrug their shoulders and vote for a candidate that clearly has no place in office.
sure Bernie's radical but at least he's predictable. Dude hasn't changed his stance on anything in the past 20 years. I'd love to remind you of Hillary's disgusting past of lying and hypocrisy, but you sound a bit too convinced by her hundred million dollar campaign that she's already the decided winner. if you really look into Bernie's campaign platform you'll realize that his extremely liberal values clearly won't pass through legislation, but the man has big ideas all over the place. Most importantly for me is he's vowing to stop global warming, which many of the other candidates literally pretend is a myth in order to gain the trust of pacified America.

April is not that long ago, he has been a popular figure in Vermont for decades.

There is a HUGE difference between voting for expanded healthcare and dental care for veterans compared to voting on nationwide health care rates, foreign and domestic policy issues, and most importantly, tax rates.
Bernie is a popular figure among the millennial generation but he needs to draw in the older generation which is going to be tough. They may agree with his ideas but understand that Presidents very rarely actually accomplish what they set out to do.
.MASSHOLE.April is not that long ago, he has been a popular figure in Vermont for decades.
Sanders announced his candidacy on April 28th. How long ago April was is irrelevant.
Hillary should be disqualified because of her emails. Better yet, she should be in a fucking federal prison.
Bernie might be socialist, but he's winning the popular vote among anyone between ages 18-35. Hillary is winning the popular vote from old, angry white women who are extremely butthurt about there not being a woman as president. Martin O'Malley, however, is background noise during the debates.

Bernie is unelectable in the general election. That is obvious. He is doing a good job of raising points and questioning the status quo, but he is unelectable. The question you need to ask is who will be worse for america- Hilary, or one of the Republican candidates.

Haha. There wasn't anything passive about me calling him and now YOU naive.
And adult decision is one based on the real world effectiveness of his or her vote. Not the "in a perfect world where everyone believes the way I do" effectiveness.
This election is fucked for both Republicans and Democrats. The top republican candidate seems like a plant intent on ruining the party forever. And the runner-up democratic candidate will likely weaken the party significantly when he inevitably loses the nomination and then splits the liberal vote by selfishly running as an independent.
even though it's going to be an absolute trainwreck, I kind of can't wait to watch Trump absolutely bat around Hillary in a debate. He is going to be relentless.

If he gets the nomination there is no chance in hell he wins the general. No chance. And that means one of the bigotted, fear mongering republican candidates gets elected. And that truly terrifies me.

youre massively begging the question here. he's unelectable because hes unelectable! solid reasoning there.
furthermore, what makes you so certain he would run as an independent if he doesn't receive the nomination? of all the people involved in this joke of an election cycle, he seems to be one of the more sensible ones who would realize the damage of splitting votes.

I sadly can't find it, but there was an article I saw the other day that, using poll data, showed that if we get a scenario of Hillary vs Republican, the Republican will win but if we get a scenario of Sanders vs Republican, Sanders will win. I wish I could find that because it was very interesting.
But I do agree with californiagrown here insofar as Hillary is a vastly lesser evil in comparison to the current front runners of the GOP. If we have to pick between Hillary and either Trump/Carson/Cruz, Hillary will get my vote 10/10 because those idiots represent a far greater threat to everything than Hillary does.
the best would be if hillary started polling higher than Trump...oh man. He would lose it and just start throwing whatever he had at her. It would be a monstrosity.
ianrich511I fucking hate political NSers threads.

I would love to see that article. From everything I've read ( editorials, polls, and factual reporting) it seems as though a large part of the country wants to move a little back towards the middle from Obama's policies... Bernie is a strong jump to the left. I believe the moderate right voter base would be mobilized by a Bernie Sanders nomination, but not with a much more moderate Hilary nomination. Similarly, a trump nomination would mobilize sane peoples votes, but a rubio nomination wouldn't.
Idk how much of the fear mongering and bigotry is just for show on the Republican side and how much is honest to god political will. But it scares me.
Largely, I just havnt heard a compelling reason from anyone as to why "Hilary is a God awful candidate". She seems pretty average in terms of believability, political savvy, trustworthiness and political plan.

Why in every election do we choose to vote on the lesser of two evils. Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and Boeing — devote about a third of their funds to democratic candidates, Hilary being a favorite of the arms industry. She received the most funds from arm companies during the 2006 senate and has received more funds from the arms industry than all other 2016 candidates, more than any other republican candidate. So a vote for Hilary is a vote for the military industrial complex.

Bernie is too radically liberal. He scares moderate liberals and mobilizes the entire right wing, from moderate to radical. A candidate must be able to appeal to both sides in order to win the general election. This is nothing new.
I sincerely hope Bernie knows better than to run as an independent.
No one said she was a God Awful candidate.
Shes a millionaire
Shes a pawn for billionaires
She's a "flip flopper"
She is not trustworthy.
The president should be someone who best represents the people's interests.
Hilary does not represent the vast majority of people interests.
Bernie has a track record of working on both sides of the isle. Republicans will vote for Bernie once they are forced to here him speak.
If cnn actually gave Sanders airtime his support would be unequivocal

In any case, I was more poking fun at him not responding with his own words and ideas, instead responding with a pretentious philosophy meme thing that didn't have a whole lot to do with what we were discussing. Hence, me quoting something pretentious, and attributing it to myself.

This is actually a different one that I was thinking of, but it has a similar outcome:
Sanders Defeats Trump by 13 Points in General Election (poll by Quinnipiac University)

Because when you are given a choice between 2 different options (ignore for a second that not voting is an option), then one of those options will be closer to the right answer than the other, however slight it may be. Even if a vote for Hillary is a vote for the military industrial complex, it is highly arguable that she would do less damage with it than Trump would. And in that way she is not as bad as Trump.

I don't think that Bernie will run as an independent, he's a smart man and understands that could guarantee a win for the republicans. He may be a socialist but you have to remember that even if he becomes president, most of his policies would not be enacted.
I hope trump won't win but here's the thing, nobody took him seriously or thought he would get this far, yet here he is still leading.
I don't want to vote for Hillary, but her scandals are common among many politicians. I'm not saying that makes them okay, but scandals and corruption run rampant throughout our system, hers are just made obvious becuase of who she is.
But who knows, the election could already be decided.
All about dat military industrial complex
