Hey all, I'm in the process of boot shopping and I'm loving the fit on the Krypton Rampage. Also a fan of the flex and forward canting options. I'm wondering if anyone's skied previous versions of the boot or other Krypton's and can tell me how they wear in and last over time? Problems you've had with them? I ski around 100 days a year (work at my local hill). Mostly park and side-country use.
Had an older version of Krypton Rampages for about 9 years I used fairly often when I wasn't racing or charging groomers. Fit me very very well loved the 3 piece design. I personally found the flex to be to soft when I got into really steep / aggressive terrain. But for everyday all mountain messing around it was a pretty good boot.
Personally, I wouldn't buy them again. I know you can get them for a very nice deal around....if you like the 3 piece design Dalbello's I would step up to a stiffer boot. Just to soft for super aggressive skiing. If you don't weigh a lot it might be fine though..I weigh 175.
Cheers, thanks for that. I had the new one's on comparing with some Salomon 120's and the Rampage's with the flex upped to 120 were definitely stiffer...maybe they've stiffened them up? At any rate it sounds like I might want to look at the Kr Pro ID's or IL Moro's.

If you can afford to go up to Kr Pro Id i would 100% go for them they are just a better boot in all aspects.
That being said...I didn't know rampages went up to 120 flex mine were softer i'm pretty sure they were 100 flex rating but not to sure. I know every boot manufacturer 120 flex is a little different...but that is still fairly aggressive. If my rampages were a 120-130 flex I would 100% buy them again at that flex...great value. I bet the rampages with a 120 flex is a pretty bomb boot for the price point. I literally never got shin bang with them. Good luck!
