I've always had trouble when uploading videos here, the video quality always seems to downgrade even when just linking it from Vimeo. Is there a reason for this or does NS just not support HD videos? Is it something to do with my export settings on my editing software?
This is the edit I want to upload, not that it really matters tho lol
I just uploaded this here (linked through vimeo) and the quality is actually quite average
thread is no longer redundant
I mean no offense, but I went to vimeo to watch your video to do a comparison, and it's pretty average there too. Are you sure you exported to vimeo in HD?

Actually yea now that I think about it Vimeo did give me a "warning" or "tip" or something about my video size I think but I just disregarded it, oops
no offence taken btw
eheathYour videos will never look as good online as they do on your computer, plain and simple.
What are you shooting with? Export settings?
Shooting with canon 70D and editing with FCP. Here's a screen shot of the export settings, lmk if you need any other info
But yea now that I've taken a better look at all of my videos on vimeo the quality doesn't seem great so if you guys could help me out with this if you can that'd be rad :))
Vimeo does not support hd embedding for non members. If you are a plus member you can. Its like $60 for a year, it also gives you a lot of other benefits of Vimeo.
just out of curiosity what are you shooting at? why are you exporting at 25 fps? very few cameras actually have the ability to record 25 fps. There are quite a few that shoot 30 or 24, but not 25.
if your shooting 24, then the computer has to create an additional frame for every second (which could result in a very minor quality issue) if you are shooting in 30 it probably isnt noticable

He lives in NZ, they're PAL over there for tv. Internet doesnt matter, but it's an industry standard.

PAL's more common than you think actually, I mean the GH4 even gives you the option to switch to PAL.
