I'm looking for a little bit more speed on my backyard setup, and was wondering if mSnow is worth the cost. How much faster is it vs. lattice and turf?
my turf was cheap i got it home depot, it was like 20$ for enough i got like 4 feet
I have mSnow and love it, but if you dont want to go all out and spend a ton of money put strips of msnow on the drop-in/run in
Just hit up a lowes or homedepot for plastic lattice it works just as good and costs way less
I have the money, but I was just wondering if I would see an increase in speed vs my current lattice and turf setup.
teflon66I have the money
you should buy me msnow so i can test it out to see if you should buy it for yourself.
CHORIZOyou should buy me msnow so i can test it out to see if you should buy it for yourself.
haha I'm good bud
yeah its cool cause you can sorta edge but i think turf with fence over it or strips of small pvc on the run in is way faster and turf is slower but its easier to spin off of than msnow

So you're saying turf is faster?
Msnow is much better than lattice/turf. I used lattice/turf on my setup for 2 summers and then msnow for 2 summers. Msnow is way better in all aspects, all these people telling you otherwise have never used it
teflon66So you're saying turf is faster?
no its better for the take off imo but horizontally mounted 1/2 in pvc pipes was faster for me than my friends msnow

Buy a little m snow and space it out in little rectangles...less surface area rubbing = more speed
I'm getting conflicting answers here. Some say mSnow is better and them some say horizontally mounted PVC pipes are better. Currently I have lattice on turf, and I think horizontally mounted PVC pipes would be the same as lattice.
i use just turf andlike it more than m snow not worth it
I don't have it on my setup, but I have been on Msnow. Msnow is with out a doubt way better
I'm getting it for my setup, Ive heard its much better, especially since you don't have to wet it down like turf. If you use mWax you go faster too
Honestly if you can slide 10-15ft save your money and use your turf. Save the money for new gear or something. If you can only slide like 5ft it might be a good investment to get the small package. Make sure your tranny is smooth. Maybe post a pic as well?
I installed mSnow just a couple weeks ago on my summer setup. It's awesome, just expensive. I couldn't afford the biggest box so I got the medium. I didn't have enough to completely cover my setup unfortunately, but with a bit of construction fencing and turf I got the job done. I'd highly recommend mSnow if you've got the cash.
It's super fast, great especially for the takeoff because it's fast but you can still edge in. Much less of a hassle than turf. No need to water, etc.
I'll post a couple pictures of how I used mSnow in combination with turf/snow fencing.
cant say I ever used Msnow but i can tell you that if you but some detergent on ur turf ( dont be dumb and put bleach) you will slide faster. also if your kicker is a ride on to ur rail if u know how to urban on make sure its an urban style kicker it helps.
You could probably saw the quares of msnow into smaller pieces and space them out.
I've never used them, but you don't necessarily need everything covered, especially on the drop.
Im interested in trying it somewhere just to see how it feels. Don't have any reason to buy it, but always down to try new things
I want mSnow for the winter, so I wont need water for turf.
Thanks for all the responses, I'm definitely getting mSnow. I'll probably get just a small box, and space out the pieces on the drop in.
dont do m snow landings that stuff hurts
brett_fisherdont do m snow landings that stuff hurts
Yeah my landing's just turf.
I have m snow on my set up I've had it for like 3 years now, it still looks almost new after tons of use, it's great for speed, especially if you rub mwax/any kind of candle wax on your skis but it hurts a ton if you fall on it, I would definitely reccomend it for like your drop in but turf or carpet is way better for landing because like I said again you'll have brush burns/cuts for days if you fall in Msnow
