How do I know when I've actually failed at making it in the ski community? At what age should you just give up the dream of becoming someone people will look up to in terms of skiing? Should I even bother to continue filming or competing?

You shouldn't be focused on others looking up to you because that means your focused on OTHERS. You should only be focused on oneself because that is the only way you will actually get any where. If you want to get anywhere then you need to progress. That's it. Oh ya. Don't ever ask what do I progress too. It's like being perfect. You can never actually get "There". It an unattainable goal. Why, because there's always more work to be done.
You have no edits or pics on NS... not off to a good start, that's for sure.
I don't know about everybody else but I ski because I love it. I don't do it for fame or recognition I do it because it makes me happier than anything else. If I become lucky enough to go pro and make my life from skiing than I will be the happiest man in the world but I'm not expecting that. All I want to do is ski for as long as possible and have as much fun as I can. And no offence but in my personal opinion if your just doing it for fame and fortune then that's now what skiing's all about.
HC__skierHow though? I mean, you're at around the same karma, and I have 130 times more posts than you. Sure you have something to teach me?!
by not posting 7 times in one thread? you sound like an english teacher who is going through a midlife crisis.
