So i just got a new laptop. First time with windows and i need a video editor. Preferably cheap or free, but im sure i can save up enough money before winter starts to get an expensive one. This will kinda be my first year of actually producing edits and media, so i dont want something i cant handle. But i am up for watching online videos to teach me and all that. So what kinda editor should i get?
Ive always used Final Cut Pro, it costs a few hundred i think but you can always torrent it. its definitely an easy software to figure out. Alot of people also use premier, i've never had it so idk what its like.
Are you a student? If yes you couls get adobe premiere quite cheap, i think the production premium suite with photoshop, aftereffects... costs about 500$ right now , some time ago it actually only was 250€.
Premiere is easy to use and has huge functionality and works really good with After Effects

Miss the bit about windows did ya?
Freel though, premiere is dope
You can Always torrent sony vegas or adobe premiere...
I'd say Adobe Premiere is the way to go. If you're going to get into coloring, it works seamlessly with Adobe SpeedGrade (professional color grading/ correction software). Even if you're not going to do super serious coloring, Premiere still has benefits over Final Cut.
Also if you don't have a Mac, you can't get Final Cut.
If you're a student. You can use your EDU email on Adobe to get the Creative Cloud. It's $10.00 a month (I believe) for every Adboe program made. This will let you do everything and some. Clearly you would use Premier the most. But Lightroom, Photoshop, and DreamWeaver are really fun to mess around with too as well as others they have.
I'd say this is your best bet. Adobe Premiere is one of the top 3 editors and very user friendly. Can YouTube any video for it that you need to learn. And it links directly to any computer with the cloud so you always have your work as long as you long in to the account. Also super nice with the cloud and Adobe is that like if you make a logo in After Effects it will show up in Premier with ease.
OK cool, so basically premiere is they way to go
