Was bored and started thinking of skis today and I thought of where im gonna mount my skis. I know people mount at length center to balance the swing weight for spinning but would that not be more effective to mount at the weight center since the front half of a ski may weigh more than the back as it is wider unless on a symmetrical ski.

the only time I've heard of mounting at weight center on a non symmetric ski (on a symmetric one it would be the same as core center) is with tele skis, where you find the balance point and then mount so your toes are at that point.
theres a good chance this point may be even more further forward then core center which is going to make the skis ski like crap.
that is nearly always how I find center for my skis. I always figured weight center will give the most consistent center mount but really when bindings weigh different amounts for the heel and toe anyway it wont make any real difference. Mount them somewhere close to center and dont worry to much
