I was just looking at older schweitzer forms and reminded me of how rad the Games used to be. Even though i was like a 5th grader when it was badass id like to know what happened. this year there was only skier-x i believe which didnt even happen because of snow. but why wasnt slope ever on the calender.
I think it was a funding thing? like they didn't have enough people signing up to cover the cost of putting it on. Plus the issue of having no snow in Idaho for the last 3 years

Schweitzer has always had enough snow, even last year. Its still happens every year but its defiantly less of an event and just in conjunction with usasa, no high cash purses and what not.
I was a judge for a couple of years when I worked up their and it was mostly the lack of budget. I'm not sure about this year but I remember hearing they are gonna just let USASA take the reigns or some third party event. It's just more cost effective. Plus the turnout from the years I judged weren't big on numbers. Which is surprising with the apparent rise of park skiers here. It would be sweet to see at least a rail jam this year, the talent is definitely there. I do miss the times that then up and comers like LJ and Moxham came around.
