Duckonquacklook at on3p kartels they come in 98 and 106 they have great durability pretty stiff yet pretty playful considering they are rockered. have no experience with surface but i hear they are stiff and have some durability issues. had k2 domains and they were real durable
.lenconI'm gonna post again and go off this.
Surface really only has durability issues on the park skis, but this is a touring ski and you wouldn't enjoy it in the park regardless of durability.
Next, I have the kartels and I would recommend also. Duck is right, the flex itself is stiffer but the rocker makes them oh so playful, and obviously durability is good there. The kartels will be harder to find a good deal on tho.
Thanks for the input fellas. I know about the kartels, and they would be pretty ideal. But I highly doubt I will be able to find a pair of on3ps for under $500, let alone $350 which is around my price range.
I know the Ruess is a touring ski, but judging by the dimensions of the ski I was thinking it could be pretty versatile. I am aware of surface's durability issues in the past which is why I was wondering if anyone had any personal experience with this ski to confirm or deny my suspicions of its versatility as well as durability. I believe Forster Meeks rides the Ruess in the park, but I could be mistaken.
