So today, for those of you NS'ers that are fans of Chance The Rapper, the wait is finally over. Today, his new project album with Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment titled "Surf" dropped on iTunes, and even better: it's for FREE. My favorite tracks are Sunday Candy, Familiar, and Warm Enough, just to name a few.
I would only listen to that album if I were paid for it. Being free isn't enough.
Jk chance the rapper is ok. The only album I have to be paid to listen to is Songs of Innocence. fukin u2
I was okay with Chance's last album, but this isn't for me. I haven't gotten through the whole album but so far it's been a lot of just slow jazz with nothing else, but I give him props with making some somewhat unique songs like sunday candy.

fuck u2, glad that album isn't downloaded onto my phone
Im in Canada and it isn't in the iTunes store I'm pissed
I've never listened to Chance the Rapper but a friend played this album for me and it's SO good. Album of the summer. Also sweet that it was free so I didn't have to deal with the guilt of illegally downloading it.
Ellen_OPAlbum of the summer.
Too early to tell
I think the album is dope. I love how the rappers rap over live music as opposed to pre recorded computerized shit. Donnie trumpet did a really good job producing it.

That's because it's not even Chance's album he just helped out as part of the Social Experiment. This is Donnie Trumpet's album so of course the emphasis is going to be on the instrumentation. Chance is making his own solo project. The iTunes link even directs you to a page saying Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment.

i know they both worked on it, I still don't like it.

What I find odd about the album is that it features all these artists (i.e. Quavo, J. Cole, Busta Rhymes, etc) yet they aren't cited as being featured on the album.

That's completely fair.

I think it's pretty dope. It makes you listen to all the songs to figure out which ones have features, and maybe that way people will at least listen to the entire album, instead of only the ones that have their favorite rapper on them.
