What are some tips for hitting rails switch? It is super sketchy when i do it and does not look good at all. Is it something I have to get used too and just keep practicing or is their any advice that will help me out?
First there are 2 ways for switch-ons: switch-tails and switch-lip on. I personally prefer lip on, but you have to try both ways...
Try it on a downrail with the right speed (better faster than slower cuz you will have more time to jump on the rail) and pop of the lip as much as you can! Just try them, they arent difficult and look steeze af!
Carving in helps and instead of just like 90ing on try to like place your self on the rail

This works really well when you're going switch tails on but with switch lip I usually turn my body more away from the rail then just pop hard so there is a much lower chance of catching my tails
my main issue is always boot pressure and popping at the right time. So I just put more pressure than im used to on the tails of the skis (as if you had pressure on your tongues on a normal take off) and pop. I always have to make myself wait till it's almost too late to pop Cus when taking off switch I tend to pop/spin way to early
