Looking to get better at skiing for next year. I want to work on rails, spins, and grabs. I know about aggressive inline and a summer setup, but looking for basic excerises/cheap alternatives
for spins and grabs, get a trampoline. it's good for getting muscle memory. you can also try to make tramp skis out of plywood etc, i've seen them happen. tramp also keeps you in shape in a way. for rails, definitely build the summer set up you mentioned, it's gonna help you a ton!
check out craigslist and ebay for a cheap trampoline. construction sites are a good source of summer set up material. pvc pipe makes the best rail!
There's always a cheaper route for every thing, a lot of my friends have trampolines so I can use thiers and craigs list like the other guy said. My dad works on houses so he gabe me all the wood to make my summer setup and people sell 2x4s and other ply wood on craigslist too
build muscle, especially in your legs. Ride bikes and squats and dead lifts will make your legs super strong

And jump ups too.
downhill mtn biking. more of a mental thing, but can help
It's all about muscle memory. Tape pictures of pros doing the tricks you want to do to a hammer and hit your muscles with it all summer. Come winter you'll set up for the trick and they will be like "we know this".
Inline is great for learning new rail tricks, especially swap combos- summer setups are great for locking down tricks and learning some smaller new stuff, but unless you're the Drapers, it'd be pretty hard to learn big tricks like 4 ons. I got a tramp for free of CL, so for sure check that, also do some cliff diving cause its fun and gets you some great air sense. The least fun thing is doing some legs, core, and back work, especially quads.
