I wanted to buy a pair of Line Blend skis for next year, but they have a very low availability in last year's model (which is the cheaper decision) so what are skis with similar flex, use, etc. to the Blend?
Faction 2.0, Armada Al Dente, Sir Francis Bacon
Crispy.K2 Shreditor 102

didnt mean to dub post but I'll go for the triple
How are the Shreditors in comparison with the playfulness?

I have never flexed a Blend, but my Shreditors are sooo buttery! Awesome ski.
Moment PB&J, stiff bitches tho. Have rode both, liked the PBJ more.
I'll say it again and again revision talisman, super nice flex pattern just as soft as this years blends but offer more control I think, very poppy but playful and you can get them for 280 shipped. I snapped a core but they are super boss on their warranty policy.

I think a pair of icelantic da'nollies or nomads would be similar.
As someone whos rode blends for like 7 years i gotta say get your hands on some 4frnt codys if you can, such an awesome ski, very similar to the blend. I think 4frnt changed the name to the gaucho last year but pretty sure its the same ski maybe a little stiffer.

except not at all.
the blend is a park ski, the shreditor isn't.
the edges are thinner so you'll break the 102 way quicker than the blend and the flex pattern isn't uniform in the shredditor.

Shreditors
131/102/125
Blends
132/100/122
so width wise no more difference than 3mm??? id call them similar skis?
both are soft skis.
lolol ive seen more people riding the 102 more in the park than the blend.
both are "all mtn" skis.
both are fun to ride.
he asked for a similar ski to the blend, he didnt ask which one will "break" faster. heck ive even seen quite a few cases here on ns that they've snapped their blends.

Like emile said the edges on the shreditors are thinner, theyll wear out a lot faster. The shreditors also do not have a symmetrical flex pattern or symmetrical rocker/early rise like the blends do. The shreditors have a tapered tip and tail and more rocker.
So while they may have a similar sidecut they are actually quite different
Armada ARVTi . They are stiffer then blends but not as stiff as you think and they absolutely charge
So because the Shreditor isn't symmetrical and has weaker edges, does it ride very differently from the Blend or does it feel the same/similar?

Couldnt tell ya for sure, Ive only ridden the blend. I would assume it rides different but thats only speculation. And different doesnt mean bad either

Yeah, I still feel like it would be pretty similar but I'm not sure. I really wish the Blends had more availability with low-ish prices like other skis this time of year
Line blend
132/100/122
Fischer Big Stix 100
131/100/123
They look pretty damn close, but it's hard to say how the flex matches up. Line tends to make pretty soft skis, I don't know about Fischer. They both have early rise in the tips and tails, but the blends have a tiny bit of tip taper unlike the big stix. I think that makes the big stix look more attractive imho because you'll have more effective edge for ripping down the mountain.
The big stixs can be found for 61% off. If price is your main concern definitely look at what is available here; http://www.steepandcheap.com/gear-cache/the-after-season-sale---savings-up-to-75-off
Some other skis like the rocker 2 100's and faction prodigies are up for super cheap as well, although their specs don't line up quite as perfectly.
