Thinking about throwing a double back off a three meter diving board. Any suggestions or do you just go for it?
Dont open up mid flip unless you want to slap the water. Doubles are hard to explain but you'll sorta feel where you are in the flip(s). It takes a few to get a better sense of where you are. Basically, just stay tucked.
youll be fine if you huck. I did my first dub off a 3m, and even over rotated a bit. then i tried laying out the second flip and had the worst belly flop of my life hahahaha. moral of the story is stay tucked and you will live.
If you have a one meter I would consider hucking off of that first. Nothings worse than a 10 foot belly/backflop. Double fronts off of a one meter are pretty easy if you want to build some confidence for the double back.
dont open up, if you dont finish your rotation then you'll just cannon ball
Is it a spring board? Because if its a 3 meter spring board you will have a ton of time and you don't have to pull it very hard.

Ya its a spring board, i can throw a double front off a 1 and 3.
Thanks for all the feedback guys. May have to huck it when the pool opens!

Should i open up a little on the second or is it no worth it?

not for your first one. stay tucked and even if you over rotate youll land like a cannonball and it wont suck. if you open up early you wont be like a cannonball and it will suck ahahaha

Since its a spring board make sure you have a good set. Jump up and spot something in front of you for a second and then flip. It'll give you more air time than just hucking it.

Nope. You'd think that you would want to open up more than on a 1m, but for some reason that's not how it works. Keep tucked.
Honestly dub backs are much easier than dub fronts off of a 3 meter springboard. Just send it and you'll get it I promise.
dingusTuck for the triple
Don't be a pickle... Tuck for the triple!
Seriously, just keep pulling, stay tucked and it has a very natural feeling as you come around for the second flip. Just, like, BUTTER!
