Ok NS I am 18 and have one more year of high school left and Im hoping to get a mostly full time job that could be from morning to late afternoon, not sure as to whats good, maybe landscaping or something. Anyone have clues as to whats good?
anything outside working with your hands is the best deal....
farming, landscaping, irrigation, etc.
darticus_primei heard it was hard to get paid more than 25 cents a tree
This. A lot of places pay closer to 10 cents a day. It's back breaking work in the woods but i think it must be fun
Titus69How do I get in the 'union' part?
drug test, physical, training
scratchproteenDon't worry about finding a job on craigslist. My roomate 4 years ago got a baggage job for Delta Airlines off craiglist and has been working there ever since, he loves it.
Airline work can be absolutely back breaking, stressful, and miserable work. Or it can be a great day, relaxing outside.
The only real downside is really delays or cancellations. Tons of overtime available everywhere, but if you're supposed to leave at 9, and the flight is delayed until 11... More often than not, you're stuck. The hours can also get to you. I worked a 3:30am shift all winter. Was nice being done early afternoon, but was tough when it's 6pm and you're starting to think about sleeping.

Ok well time to clean up a bit, Im just wondering where to go to apply
Id research local summer camps. Depending on where you live, there are typically really solid camps in most areas. Whether it be a YMCA or a private lake camp, at your age, it's a solid summer time gig. Trust.
Titus69Id love to make $5000 in a summer.
if you find a proper laboring job it should be $15 minimum lol

Until my spring sport is over Im just working on weekends, theres a program that sends teens to do basic labor work for $11 an hour but after that Im gonna try working a bigger paying and everyday job as you can tell.

actually thats a really good way to get referenced to bigger, better things. I would have done this if my parents didn't know some people who know some people. Good luck man, laboring sucks for the first two weeks and then you get pretty damn fit, and then it's not bad at all.

Your local union charter there are building similaR to the American Legion if you are accepted you do around 6 weeks of un paid book learning if you pass you are now hired as an apprentice where you will stay for 8 your until you become a journey men then 2 years you will be a master carpenter/plumber/electrician depending on what you decided to do. I know because I did union carpentry for 4 years I now work for a independent fiber optic contractor. I got sick of being laid of with union work but when the money is good it is REALLY GOOD you judy have to plan and save which I could not. Sorry I typed this in 1 minute on my phone

Yeah my councelor told me that in a meeting I had with him this week since I said Id be interested in being an automotive mechanic then he went on about stuff like heat and air conditioning, electrician, plumbing etc.
I'm your age and I deliver pizza. It's a good gig for students. I live in a reasonably affluent community so tips are good. I'll work from 5-10 on weeknights and make $100-140.
There's probably better hustles, but for a kid without a degree it's a good deal. Even when you're rushing you're just sitting in your car bumping music.
Every restaurant pays differently, I've worked for a few. Expect to start off the books, getting paid cash. Most places will give you a small hourly wage so tips are key
Of course you'll need a car, I copped a '99 Toyota camry, right now we at 240,000 miles and still bumping :)
