Hey guys I'm 5'8" 160lbs and am a intermediate park skier. I'm looking for a ski that would enable me to throw 3s and hit some rails here and there, while maintaining a good all mountain ski. I stumbled across the AR7 and thought it would be good ski for me, also thinking Marker Bindings Jester or Griffon? I ride probably 60% park any thoughts/ suggestions would help thanks!
I have the 2012 Armada AR7 and love them. Ride super nice Both in the park and mountain (Although I am in the midwest so we don't have mountains haha). I also have marker bindings on them.
Op this belongs in gear talk
But the ar7 are hella stiff
the ar7 is a pretty stiff ski if you want a more flexible one go with the Thall or maybe the al dente or something, if you want a stiffer one then to ar7 is perfect. I will tell you though that a ski wont really enable you to throw 3s thats all you so dont expect the ar7 to enable you to do 3s, if you cant do 3s on the ski you are riding now the ar7 wont change much.
Haha okay my mistake just bad wording but thanks for the info anyways

no worries i didnt mean it in a dick way i was just saying because i though one time when i bought new park ski that it would change my skiing game but it really didnt change it much, i just sort of meant dont buy into some stuff they say like "it makes you spin like a top" etc. its just marketing stuff ya know? but they are good skis no doubt you wont be unsatisfied.
No worries man thinking maybe some 2015 Thalls (because they are softer) but my brother is skiing the 2013 model and don't want to copy him..
i own a pair they are an amazing east coast all mtn ski that rips in the park. I mounted mine -2.5 from center to give them a little more all mountain(since i have a pair of A-Bangs) and i take em out when im cruising with friends who only dip in the park here and there.

Would it be ok at center mounted if I was strictly going park skiing (obviously I could mount them anywhere but would it be desirable)

plenty of people center mount AR7's and love them, I'm sure i would love them at center as well.
That being said, in my opinion, if you want to center mount get a symmetrical ski. they ar7's are close but not exactly symmetrical
I've been riding the 2015 Ar7s all season, they are a bit stiff but an amazing ski. I would highly recommend.
I am still on some 13/14s and they are bomb proof. Stiff, which is really good for charging hard, but can be less forgiving in the park. I have mine at -2 from true center. Really good ski.
The ar7 will be perfect. I started out this year not being able to 3 but I learned on them. I progressed on them to 7s and 5 grabs, they're great for just going around and throwing 3s. Also I happen to freeride every once and awhile and they hold a edge well on these east coast groomers and the ice.
This probably got off topic a bit haha
love mine, i like them a bit longer (im 5'6 and ride 176) but they shred hard. such a great ski. recommend it to anyone
i love mine not to soft but they are holding up good
definitely a stiff ski, full camber, great for shredding groomers and good pop for park. overall great ski. Iv got a pair for sale if your looking to buy.
