I'm going on a road trip and we're wondering which is better? Big boulder looks better based on what I can find online, but its a little bit more out of the way. Which one would be more fun to stop at?
depends what you're looking for. Boulder has hands down the better park(s). Neither mountain is very large, so there's not great skiing outside of the park to be had. However, if you're skiing Boulder you can also ski Jack Frost (a few miles down the road) on the same ticket which does have decent skiing and an alright park. Not sure if you're of age, but Bear's got a real dope bar/lodge plus some cool local rippers.

Pretty much what this guy is saying. If you like park and are patient enough for the crowds then go Boulder. Bear creek is much smaller because Jack Frost isn't right next to it but it will be much less crowded, smaller park if you are working on improving, and great socialization areas.
too late for this season but i love both. boulder has the better parks but bear creek's parks are nothing to sneeze at. they also have a much faster lift so if you are just hot lapping solo you can get many more runs in at bear creek.
This thread is kind of old but i might as well add something. I'm usually at Bear every weekend hot lapping, their rails are on point and they get creative with them, but their jumps are alright.
