Would it be possible to take out the current bindings I have on my skis and mount a different pair of bindings in the same place or would it fuck up to ski? I have a pair of volkl walls center mounted with head mojo bindings and i wanna throw a pair of rossie fks 120s on them center mounted. Thanks.
as long as the drill holes of the current bindings dont overlap with the new mount pattern it should be ok. go to your local shop, they know how to help you
when i tried to do the exact same thing the shop told me they would have to mount the holes in a different location so I did mine +2 from the center. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with ski integrity from mounting and the different screws from different ski bindings
It's quite likely you won't be able to do that, but not impossible. If you drill new holes too close to old ones you're risking a pull out, so most ski techs will be reluctant to do that for you.
Assuming head mojo = tyrolia peak = Fischer x9, your good op! I did a swap on a pair of afterbangs a while ago going the other way, replacing some fks 140s with x9s because I was too light. You can reuse two of the toe holes if I remember correctly and drill the rest new. Not sure if a shop will do this for you because of liability though.
What about switching a pair of markers with a pair of rossies?
If you're talking FKS and the older style Royals it's completely fine. Don't know about the new style baseplates.
Seriously? If you don't even know enough to understand each binding has a different mount pattern, you shouldn't be mounting up or even screwing in your bindings. Bring them to a shop..
