How do you guys think I can get rid of heel lift in my boots while skiing (especially while popping ollies)?
You have several different options but it all comes down to having a well fit boot. If your boot was hugging your heel well initially maybe you just need a new liner; Intuition, Zipfit, etc.
Otherwise short of buying new boots or liners you can get some "boot fitting foam" to shove in there from Tognar http://www.tognar.com/boot_heater_warmer_fitting_dryer_canting_dryers_ski_snowboard.html They have shapes specifically for heel lockdown.
Adding foam to your boot is really a last resort measure but if you can't afford new boots or liners it's your best bet for stopping heel lift.

Which boot foam would you recommend? (Keep in mind that my heel pretty much only lifts when im doing ollies/putting a substantial amount of pressure on the tips of the skis)
Isnt an ollie a trick where you lean back and put pressure on your heels? Something might be off if your heel comes up when you push down on it..... Have you tried unplugging it and plugging it back in?
Sorry guys!!! I got it all wrong, my heel slides up when I NOLLIE lol (Pro-Gaper moment)
Just tighten them up a lot, and when your on the lift up buckle them.
I had this problem when my liners packed out. I just tighten them real good, wear two pairs of socks and its good now. Sometimes I'll use my power strap as a booster strap.
It's impossible for me to know what will work best for you. Personally I like to use the sheet foam and custom cut my own shapes, then you can experiment and see what works for you.
Best way to minimize heel lift: buy the right size boots (don't buy boots too big) that have been fit by a good boot fitter and secondly get a custom made footbed.
Buying boots too big means your foot will be able to slide all over the place and will lift when you flex forward. The boot fitter should do a shell check and there should be no more than 2.5cm space. 1cm and under is a high performance fit. 1 - 2cm is a normal fit.
A custom footbed is also very important to eliminating heel lift without it even if your boots are the right size and fit your foot can still move around and you can get heel lift. What a custom footbed will do is it will provide a solid foundation for your foot that keeps it in place and prevents it from slipping into less than ideal positions.
