Hi, I am looking for new skis and I can't decide between the 2015 Atomic Infamous or 2014 Line Mastermind. I've heard of issues with speed on the Mastermind, but what are the issues with the Infamous and are their any other issues with the Mastermind.
I've got the 2015 mastermind and it is a very fun ski. Super flex and poppy. They are not durable at all though. ve ridden them like 10-15 times and the top sheets are already destroyed, bases are taking quite a beating. Its a fun ski but probably won't last more then a season or two
Hey, welcome to ns! If you could post your height, weight, ablility, what you ski (mainly park, all mtn), and where you ski, we could tell you the best ski for you.
I'm 5' 4", 100lbs, I mainly ski the park but I do go to the rest of the mountain, and I would say I'm an advanced skier. Also I'm on my third pair of APO skis in 2 seasons after delaminating the first 2 pairs and getting replacements.
I forgot to mention that other suggestions for skis are welcome, but I'm Looking for something under $400. I was considering the line after bang but since they're so soft I'm concerned about edge hold.
Avoid masterminds at all costs. Definitely go for the infamous. The masterminds will last you about a month or two.
Infamous suck. Do not get them. I do like the flex and the swing of the carve but they are not durable for shit. I had a pair and both tails delaminated at once after about a month of use including early season riding. I'd say don't get either of them and get the 4frnt switchblade judging from you hight and weight. I transitioned to the switchblade after the atomic and they are much better overall and are super durable. Plus the flex is softer which is better Imo. Don't get line either they are not great.
Hopefully that helps!
Not me but a friend has had two pairs of Infamous over the course of a month. Cracked and delammed the tips after 3 days of use on each.

So if your main problem seems to be durability why dont you check out some on3ps or kittenfactory as they both are known to be very durable.
Never had masterminds but havent heard anything good about tgem durability wise. Only get the infamous if you wanna send em in on warranty after a week for delamination
Masterminds are real ass and the infamouss are real nice
JustinG7How is the K2 Sight
its a great ski! Pretty stiff but its rly nice on jumps and very durable

I love the sight, it's stiff but that's a positive because it can charge any feature. It's on the heavier side but that means that it's very durable in this case. If you can handle a heavier ski I highly suggest them for a budget ski.
