Just learned how to slide rails about a month ago. But I still cant get fully sideways. I always end up at like 75 degrees instead of a full 90. Anything that I'm doing wrong in specific? Or is it just one of those things I have to get a feel for?
Try and align your shoulders with the rail. Dont rotate your chest. Your feet will follow your chest.
Disclaimer...i havent hit a rail in years
Practice 90's on flat and get real comfortable with them. Have your legs about shoulder length apart when approaching the rail then make sure you pop decently.
Also are you getting a 90 and then sliding out of it or are you landing on the rail about 75?

Yeah completely ignore this, you want your shoulders facing downhill unless you are trying to spin blind side. You just need to commit more and practice. scissor your skis and grip the rail.

I can stick rails all the way to the end, even the longer ones so I'm usually not sliding out. But I feel like I am landing on the rail at around 75 degrees and sliding it with no grip at all so it feels really sketchy. I'm really not sure how it looks, but it just doesn't feel right.

I was this way at the beginning of the season, this being my first season devoted to park. I think the best thing to do rather than to listen to other people's opinions is to just adjust yourself. Just keep hitting the same rail, have a friend video you if it helps. You'll be able to fix it in no time
Practice getting switch out of rails, then you can get used to committing fully to the rail. Thats what I did to help.
Try coming out switch. When you commit to coming around switch it forces you to turn more. Then when you can do that, drop your front heel to come out forward. Maybe that'll help?
