The daily is a reincarnation of the live life, which was in the stable for many seasons. You could try a search on the live lifes for more answers. I was just in the surface shop here in Utah and spoke with Rob about each of the models they currently have. He promoted the daily as just that - the daily driver. The ski you would leave in your car just in case the conditions aren't all time. At 100mm underfoot, it definitely goes after the one-ski-quiver audience. I personally love the graphic. It's very clean and understated with that matte finish. And the price point is nice too. Also, they added sintered bases to each of the models this year, so no more extruded garbage issues from previous generations.
I should add that in the two longest lengths, the 181 & 191, the live life was the older generation ski. In the 171, the ski was called the my life and it was targeted for the ladies. And the two smallest lengths, the 145 and 161 were called the next life, and were for the groms. So depending on the size you're interested in, search accordingly.
Wow man, thank you I'm looking for the '81cm so it would be 110mm underfoot, which is perfect!
