For me its when i am on the chair and people put their skis on top of mine or when old guys try to make conversation with me on the chair
ummm, its a common courtesy to have a conversation with somebody on the chair but i totally know where your coming from. my biggest bet peeve is when people cut you off the way to a rail or jump
When 12 year old snowboarders who think there the next Shawn white just intentionally be a dick to people like by cutting them off or just talking down too/fucking with other people because they think their the shit and that thier sooooooooo good.
When foreigners slam the bar down on your crotch.
people that dont alternate in the lift line.
doesnt matter if they're the snakers or the snakees..
gotta take your turn when its your turn.
When people bitch about the conditions.
The lift starting and stopping several times on the way up because people don't know how to get on and off the lift. I understand people are learning and I don't blame them completely, but it's annoying regardless.
Also, the way they park cars is sooo tight at my home hill. If a truck parks next to or across from you it is pretty impossible to get out.
*SBCmingg*When people bitch about the conditions.
This...went skiing in -25℉ wind chill today. Everbody was bitching but I thought the snow felt great.
not asking before yanking down the safety bar on your head.
people who set the skin track just a little too steep.
sideslipping fun chutes.
Ryan_HansenThis...went skiing in -25℉ wind chill today. Everbody was bitching but I thought the snow felt great.
Yeah, don't go if you don't want to deal with the weather. It is not very difficult to find out what it's gonna be like for the day and you can plan according to that. Today all I heard was "it's so icy." Like everyone expects everyday to be a pow day. It really wasn't that icy either. The snow was a bit packed with maybe 2 or 3 patches of ice on the main run but it really wasn't that bad and easily avoidable. I wanted to go up to people and tell them they should be happy that they're able to ski at all. Fair weather skiers rub me the wrong way...
Ryan_HansenThis...went skiing in -25℉ wind chill today. Everbody was bitching but I thought the snow felt great.
who the fuck goes skiing when it is -25f? fuck that.
when 9 year old ski racers laugh from the lift after you eat shit in the park. how do you respond to that??
people cutting in line and park crew people spending way to long on one feature when people are waiting to hit it.
NickyToorpeople cutting in line and park crew people spending way to long on one feature when people are waiting to hit it.
agreed with the lift line, but can't get pissed at the crew taking the extra time to make a feature perfect. let them do their thing, unless its the only feature in the park you have options
I was actually trying to think of something original to post here, but honestly can't come up with anything that really annoys me during a day on the mountain, besides just having a bad day not being able to land anything
When a group snowboarders strap in at the top of a run and block off the entrance to it. Its not a huge deal to maneuver around them but its still kinda annoying to me.
All those people with Chapplicators on their helmets...
cobra_commanderwho the fuck goes skiing when it is -25f? fuck that.
I was surprised by the crowd. I just take advantage of what time I have to ski.
Dick patrollers piss me off. They act like little KGB agents hell bend on safety. No hate, but the old grumpy ones should be administrators.
Unmaintained snow park. Really, why have one when it sucks?
People who argue with lifties. Seriously. It backs up flow and pisses off people.
People who loiter in the lift line. I hate dodging 7 snowboarders and 4 newb skier in confined areas.
The 20$ meal that includes cheap burger, crappy fries and undersized drink. I just gave up wasting my money.
Mountain ambassadors who think they run they mountain and yell at you for the stupidest shit like seriously hop off
when i chop all my fingers off doing a double truck driver
fresh_princewhen i chop all my fingers off doing a double truck driver
How do you do a double truckdriver?
chairlift times. It takes me less than two minutes to get down the mountain and close to ten to get up the mountain.
People that ski out of control.
Ryan_HansenWhen foreigners slam the bar down on your crotch.
KneeDroppeople that dont alternate in the lift line.doesnt matter if they're the snakers or the snakees..

cobra_commandernot asking before yanking down the safety bar on your head.
All of these, especially the bar ones. I've gotten hit in the head so many times by stupid fucking people who have to have the bar down immediately. Next time it happens, imma call someone out.
Also snowboarders who 'clap' their boards in the lift line. I get it, you snowboard, now shut the fuck up.
People who smoke cigarettes in the lift line. If you're gonna smoke, make it the greenies.
Bomb holes. No ones fault really, but they're so annoying. I'm old enough where I find mellow flat boxes fun again, but shit man, so does everyone else.
Having trouble thinking of any more bc I just had a great first day out. Real stoked overall.
City folks that bring their shitty vibes and attitudes to mountains.
Asian/Indian gapers that literally get brought in by the busload from NYC and clog up the mountain.
Snowboarders that hate on skiers or racers
Freeskiers that hate on racers/snowboarders or anyone who doesn't do what they do.
It doesn't matter if you board, race, or freeski. If you are obnoxious, everybody hates you! That includes punky park rat kids, entitled racers, or snowboarders that sit in runs.
People that make lifts stop or cause trouble in the lift line. How fucking hard is it to point your skis/board straight and sit down on a chair? If your kid isn't tall enough to sit on it, they shouldn't be skiing from that lift in the first place!
Snowboarders that rest their board on your skis on the lift
Shitty lift attendants. I am one of few that talk to them and 90% of them ignore me.. Shouldn't it be the other way around?
When the mountain runs blowers on open trails during the day. Yeah you do need snow but jesus fucking christ do you need it 7 feet away from my face when I'm trying to ski?
When park crew "maintains" or "fixes" a feature that is fine the first place. Just because you put nice lines on the lip doesn't justify the 45 minutes you spent doing nothing to it!
Filmers who scream at you to move out of their way with their subject. Just because your filming doesn't mean everybody else can't hit everything! You don't have priority.
When the snow would be nice but gapers/skiers that can't ski well/boarders wipe the snow off it so its corn on the side but ice in the middle. Learn to carve people! Then we would all have good snow..
Whatever though, earbuds in and have a good time.
Definitely riders who put other riders down or act entitled, regardless of talent. I see it in the park all the time, it's super frustrating.
not much but people who go in the singles line then wait for a lifty to direct them instead of just hopping on a non-ful chair. they make up for it though with the confused look when you walk right past them into the 20th group they could have joined but ignored.
rtl32When the snow would be nice but gapers/skiers that can't ski well/boarders wipe the snow off it so its corn on the side but ice in the middle.
But...side pow!
I find it annoying when you get on the chair with randos who are antisocial. Think it's the best when random people share their stoked
taj.Basically all of the skiers
Get outa here i hate gapers
15 year olds hiking a lift tower for hours doing 4 outs, k-feds, 2 on's, etc...
Then there's me and my friends taking hot laps through the park and having fun
rtl32When the snow would be nice but gapers/skiers that can't ski well/boarders wipe the snow off it so its corn on the side but ice in the middle. Learn to carve people! Then we would all have good snow..
THIS!!! Because gapers think they can do trails above their ability and sideslip the whole way. The snow is always shit by the end of the day because of this,
pl.when 9 year old ski racers laugh from the lift after you eat shit in the park. how do you respond to that??
Tell them to come down to the park and show you what they got. Guarantee you they either 180 the lip to the rail or 50-50 a box. Call them out on it, cause we all know they probably can't do shit in a park.
NickyToorpeople cutting in line and park crew people spending way to long on one feature when people are waiting to hit it.
people that complain about the feature not being perfect and bitching about park crew not taking enough time to work on it.
This is always the first thing I think of whenever someone asks about something annoying. Just a classic.
kshaughnThis is always the first thing I think of whenever someone asks about something annoying. Just a classic.
Naggers
When JONGs put the bar down without warning and hit my helmet and/or helmet cam. They usually don't even apologize.
cobra_commandersideslipping fun chutes.
This. I hate those people more than anything. They should stay on the bunny hill.
Pretty much anyone who judges anyone based on their skill level, unless they're being dangerous like a first timer going down a black.
Snowboarders who clip in straight after you get off the lift. Like dude move 10 metres that way.
People who don't call which way they're going when hopping off the lift.
And people who don't know what hand signals mean in the park.
when im skiing and suddenly my pants get caught in the brake of the opposite ski.
I hate when the mountain is crowded, so basically weekends. Mondays are the best days...
I also hate snakes that take up the entire trail/make erratic turns. Makes it a pain in the ass to get by...its like being stuck in traffic.
*TACO-DOG*when im skiing and suddenly my pants get caught in the brake of the opposite ski.
Lol how baggy are your pants?!
rtl32Lol how baggy are your pants?!
pretty baggy but i think it's mostly because i keep my feet close together a lot of the time.
*TACO-DOG*when im skiing and suddenly my pants get caught in the brake of the opposite ski.
Sometimes my friend's toe strap(she snowboards) gets caught in my brake on the lift and getting it off is usually a struggle because we are both retarded. It sucks.
These kids from my school ride around the park with a portable speaker playing dubstep as they proceed to cut everyone off and sit in the landings. help
when theres groups of like 10 people waiting above every feature in the park not dropping in. and i have to maneuver around everyone who stands there for 3 minutes at every feature. i like to ride the park with a little flow, not take 20 minutes to get down the park.
.frenchy15 year olds hiking a lift tower for hours doing 4 outs, k-feds, 2 on's, etc...Then there's me and my friends taking hot laps through the park and having fun
yeah i hate when people have fun skiing in their own way that isn't the same as mine!
shin-bangummm, its a common courtesy to have a conversation with somebody on the chair but i totally know where your coming from. my biggest bet peeve is when people cut you off the way to a rail or jump
i would have to say when people cut me off the other day with shine bang some old lady skied across the jump then todally cut me off
Creed.yeah i hate when people have fun skiing in their own way that isn't the same as mine!
This thread is about posting your own opinions you fucking dumbass. I just hate that they clog shit up. Sorry I got you all butt hurt :(
Eazy_EThese kids from my school ride around the park with a portable speaker playing dubstep as they proceed to cut everyone off and sit in the landings. help
Smash their speaker with your ski boot. Use the "kids" at tap features. Problem solved.
