I'm fine when straight airing them but I never get the balls to try a 360 or any other trick. In other words, I'm afraid to 'fuck it and huck it'
Start with this^^^ then everything smaller will seem much easier.
_UnDefied_Can you do those tricks good on smaller jumps?
Yeah
Easiest way is to start with huge jumps get comfortable there and go back to medium jumps.
Keep hitting them. Keep spinning smaller jumps as well. Try and hit some bigger jumps to get more airtime on some straight airs. IF the medium jumps are the biggest you feel comfortable hitting they're going to be scary to spin. KEep spinning smaller stuff and work your way up. Hopefully there's a progression of jump size where you're at. Maybe throw some straight airs off something huge.
One of those things you just gotta keep doing though.
click your heels together three times while saying "there's no place like home."
but seriously, all these threads asking about how to get over fear are silly. getting over fear and trying new tricks is a choice, not something that you can magically do just by trying some new breathing technique or something. if you feel that you can do it, then do it. if you don't, then don't. not hating, just saying that the simple fact that you ask "how" to get over fear shows that you are way over thinking it.
once you take some good falls and realize that your body inst made of glass, it helps alot.

yeah sometimes you need to eat shit early on in the day to get over a mental block. Other times you wreck and just want to go home.
1. get a bicycle pump
2. cut a hole in your scrotum
3. insert pump
4. pump

Now there is a scolar solution
The best way for me to get over my fear is to just drop in and do it. I think about it as little as possible until it's over
Call your run on the lift. Then when you go to drop in, don't think about it.
If you try to talk yourself into throwing a new trick while waiting to drop, it's not going to work well(at least for me). I talk myself into shit on the lift. I call my runs and do all my thinking on the lift. Then once I get off, I focus on riding and music. No more "what-ifs" off the lift. I make up my mind then and there.
Truth is, you'll probably land just fine. And if it makes you feel better you can wait for a day when the snow is softer. That way if you do fuck up it won't be as consequential.
start sending harder tricks on the smaller jumps. like 5's or threes with a grab, build the confidence. And have fun, if youre havin a blast skiing the park youre not thinking about fucking up
