I recently was doing some urban and i got a tad of mud on my pants and i want to know the best way to clean them without ruining the waterproofing?
Lol read the tag? Cmon now put forth a little effort dude
The most important factor is do no use standard washin powder/liquid. This will clog the membrane and stop the pants working. You want to use a technical outerwear cleaner such as nikwax tech wash. Then if you want you can reproof te outer later to stop the material wetting out and reducing breath ability.

Tech Wash is awesome, but I wouldn't use the TX-Direct Wash In (despite how super dumb easy it is to use).
Think about it- you want to have a waterproofing agent (DWR/durable water repellent) on the outside of your jacket, not the inside. This stuff does not magically know what part of the jacket to cling to, so you naturally end up waterproofing the inside of your jacket too. This does not promote a high level of breathability.
Use Tech Wash to clean, and the TX-Spray On for the DWR. It's a bit more effort, but it will work better.

Warm water vapor is not the same as actual condensed water. As long as it doesn't clog up the pores of the material your perspiration should still be able to escape.
But anyway who cares, that question is why I just use the spray on TX-direct wash instead. Why test it when you don't have to?!
