Yesterday I went for my first backie of the season and over-rotated almost flat on my back. I broke off the front of my binding and got new bindings, remounted that night.(I found a really good deal in town and couldn't pass it up) So today I was up again and at the end of the day while putting the skis back in the car, I noticed the back half of my skis are now rockered, and by the way I ride afterbangs that I just got at the end of last season. I thought they were easier to butter today but there was nothing wrong with the ride. I know this can't be good for them but how bad really is this and what will it affect?
OK, Sorry. Short story, I landed too backseat and rockered the back of my skis.
Overrotate a fronty so that you rocker the front of your skis
Sounds like at least some of the plies snapped.

C'mon, what am I doing wrong?
any cracks in the sidewall? might be some internal damage but it also could be that skis wear down over time, especially a soft ski like afterbangs. my buddy had a pair of invaders that ended up rockered after a couple seasons. any cracks in the topsheet or sidewall?
Im gona say that it looks like you ski back seat too much, or you gave your skis rocker from that backy. Either way they are fine from what I can see. If there are cracks in any part of the tail of the ski though, then you fucked up

They check out, no cracks, but this is only about the fifth trip up with them.

the way I see it as long as they're not cracked it doesn't really matter what happened because you can't fix them. keep skiing them until they actually break
you probably cracked you core slightly. when you flex the ski putting weight on the tail, does the point of new "rocker" become the new fulcrum point?
that would be a sure sign that your core is cracked
Mine have looked like that for 4 years now. Its fine.
yes op you arent retarded, your just worried about your skis.. which i understand. theres nothing you can really do to it. you probly slightly cracked the core of your ski, thus making it not return to its original position. i would just ride it until it completely snaps, i mean theirs nothing you can really do

they are afterbangs man, what core? haha.

yea i caught that after i posted. the vaneers that make up the core could have cracked... try flexing them like i said? i dunno tho, never had to repair afterbangs
^well they are still pretty solid, and flex fine. like I said, they were fine to ski on today just a bit more buttery.
Basically its your call, if they are riding fine and you don't really notice a difference then they are ok.
Last season, I forgot what I was doing, and I got like front rocker on one ski and not soon after it snapped
Probably a core crack. Some would consider them done, some would consider them still good to go, it's all up to you. When you were skiing them, did they feel like they skied weird? If they didn't bother you keep them, if they did you might have to get new ones.
