I ski 40% all mtn and 60% park and I love buttering around and charging. how do you guys think they'll do on groomers/steep terrain?
I don't know much about the line tc... But I do know that the "J skis Whip-it" is great in the park and it RIPS the groomers. I carve better on true center J skis than I do on my old Volkl mantras.
line blend or chronic
all mountain as in groomers or as in slashin pow

As in groomers
line blend for sure its great in all mountain and its pretty good in park too. Thats if you want an all mountain ski. A lot of the skies you will find that you like in park are actually shit all mountain. Its pretty hard to find a in between sadly
look for a different ski definitely. I have ridden the Blends and the chronics and the TC's and can say that I was dissapointed with all of them. Chronics were performing much better than the other two, but I have still found much better skis. THe blends, while fun as hell, definitely didn't give me a good edge and were just so soft it would be difficult to lay down some train tracks. The TC's were just slow, soft, and really overall a dissapointing ski for the style I like.
If you are on a budget, there are plenty of older model skis that are floating around online. Look for something with full sidewall if you want the most out of your ski for carving.
For what you are asking, you might really like the Volkl Bridge. Full rocker, 95 underfoot, rails turns, and super fun ski in general. theyy have tech in the skis so the full rocker doesn't affect the effective running edge when you put them on their sides, so it is a great ski for all mountain.
If you want a pair of line skis. I would say the chronic best fits your riding style. TC is extremely soft and it is a very slow ski. Is basically just good for jibbing in the park. Chronic has better edge hold and will be a better all around ski, and its still pretty damn buttery. I would also look at some other brands too though (soloman, on3p, j skis, volkl).
skip the line park skis entirely, the TCs, blends etc are way too soft and toy-like for a 6'2" 180lb guy who likes charging at all. if you insist on doing a line park ski do the chronic but id suggest looking at another lineup entirely
I rode the line TCs last winter and found them to be super playful, but stil able to hold an edge. They are fun in the park, butter so well, and can rip a groomer as easily as it butters. No complains here.

I agree
Thanks for all the feedback, sadly I already have them mounted. I did not relize that the base was extruded and I feel like a jackass now :(. Once theyre mounted theres no goin back... right?

Idk what all these others are talking about. I have NO complaints about the line TC. Its a fun ski that carries its weight in pow, rips groomers up,butters everything, and is just all around playful AF

It's hard because all of the reviews I read are split between saying it's awful and sayings it great haha. But I'll definetly see how I like them on snow. Thanks for the feedback.
I have a pair of TCs in the mail and I am under no impression that they are going to be a great all mountain ski. Anything that flexible is going to have issues at speed. I feel like the people who are saying they are good all-mountain probably have never ridden a pair of stiffer all-mountain skis. I will be doing a gear review whenever mine come in and I get some time on them though. I realize that not everyone has the budget but if you are interested in doing park and (fill in the type of skiing here) you should probably have a dedicated set of park skis. Even great all-mountain park skis generally dont rip all mountain well after they have seen a few hardcore rail sessions. Have a pair of beaters for the park and a pair of skis that will never touch metal for the rest of the hill if you can afford it.

Thanks, might just grab a pair of cheap downhill skis from craigslist, throw on the bindings that are currently on my snapped k2 presses, and just keep a pair of downhills in the trunk of my car. not a bad idea.

My Tc's held their own on even the iciest days at gunstock. They can grip and rip on a groomer and carve nice turns all over, whether it was ice or 10 inches of fresh

If you are using them for park just make sure you grab a pair of twin tips at minimum. Shouldent be too hard to find.

Thats good to know, I was under the impression they were redesigned for this year though to be extra super buttery. They look like pool noodles from the vids Ive seen so far.

I already have the 2014 TCs mounted and ready to go for the mountain, i was saying that I might get a separate ski for groomers. thanks for the response k+
I can say my jskis(90mm) can really lay down a carve where as my blends like to just smear and bounce around.
Just got mine in the mail. So niceeeeee. Cannot wait for next weekend.
tc is my favorite ski..its super buttery but it can kill the corduroy

oh i either didn't read or forgot you already have them mounted. forget it then, youre good to go man, don't worry about the gear it will work great. honestly, we skiers have a bad case of overthinking all this shit so badly. those skis will be fun as shit, and in the future if/when you get new skis you can consider what you liked and disliked about these
yeah the extruded base is sorta low rent but who cares you won't really notice all that much

Thanks man. Good vibes.
I got a few hours worth of runs on the new TCs today (I will be putting up a full review in a week or two once I get some more time on them) and man are they fun. They do seem to turn surprisingly well, but I did not get to really get moving too fast today. I cannot stress enough how fun and buttery these things are. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much butter, its like the mountain is toast and my skis are butter knives thats how buttery they are.
