Which one? Park use on a Line Future Spin , pros and cons would be nice

Personal preference.
imo...
FKS:
Heavier
More reliable
Shorter bolt pattern= more natural flex
Marker jester:
All plastic all shit
Lighter
longer heel track
feel like they ride higher off the ski.
I don't know, ive been riding the 155s and 180s forever, and they are my binding of choice. Figure out what you like and go from there.
Jester for sure, FKS are too hyped up and the brakes are a pain and super expensive, marker binding parts are everywhere and WAY cheaper, its not about if you break or bend brakes its when

I wouldn't say "too hyped" but yes you are correct, Marker brake parts are cheaper and more readily available, and everyone does break brakes.
good points there.

What part do you use when you take a jump big and your entire fucking toe piece SHATTERS? Exactly, get FKS. They are not overhyped at all they are amazing.
if you like pre-releasing, go with marker. if you like skiing, go with pivot/fks
You're doing something seriously wrong if you shatter a jester toe piece. If there is even a way for it to shatter. Maybe you ran into a wall?
Both are premium bindings. have you ever ridden either, or even ridden lower quality models that are similar (FKS 12, Griffons, etc)? if you have, then you will know what the bindings will feel like. At the level of quality you are looking at, it all comes down to personal preference. Many peopple like the FKS because it really is the best binding for giving you the truest feeling of the ski possible, where in Markers case, you get more leverage over the ski, which is also very good, but in a different way.
No, the Markers will not break for no reason, and no, the FKS are not indestructable like many will tell you (I broke 2 FKS 140 baseplates myself with minimal use).
If you are looking for the best tech that is put into the two bindings, you will find that in the Markers, but the low stack height and short baseplates of the FKS will give you a better feel for the ski. IF you like carving, I have personally experienced better results from Marker, but I still prefer (even if I do break them alot) the feel of the FKS more.
As others have said, Markers will be your best bet for replaceable parts too.
Sparknotes comparison:
Markers- Newest tech in binding to get best performance possible (energy transmission, weight distribution, etc), will give you leverage over skis to carve better, lighter, easier to replace parts WHEN they break, more precise binding
FKS-realistically, not as durable as people say, but still on par with the big hitters, low stack height gives you closer-to-ski feel, lots of elastic travel(but Markers have comparable amount too), short mounting patter+smaller baseplate gives skis more natural flex, one of the best toes on the market
For park... I broke my Marker Jestor breaks 5 times in a month. My local shop gave me a deal and gave my the Look Pivot which are the same thing as the FKS for 70% off...... Never broke a break again or had any problem with the bindings. I felt much more natural in them as well. I did however have to bend my breaks back a couple times but they never once broke!!

140's are plastic. You really arn't going to destroy a pair of 155's/180's
Only bindings I'll ride

the baseplates are all the same on the heelpieces which is the part I broke.

I have, and still use, turntable bindings which are probably older than you. I also have a box of spare heel parts, which I rarely use. I have never broken, or seen anyone break the metal p18/p15 binding. Can't say the same about Jesters - they break all the fucking time.

I have seen 2 pairs of 18 toepieces break from kids under 140 who didnt throw down very hard. There is a family of skiers at my mountain who only use markers and go very hard and they haven't broken a pair of jesters before. Not to say that I haven't seen markers break but never jester pros ( I have seen jesters broken before)

How'd they break those 18?
TheClap.How'd they break those 18?
I literally have no idea. They mechanism that controls the horizontal release I think, so the toe just spun around basically. The toe technically still worked, It was clearly broken and not meant to do that.
Both of them broke this piece I am pretty sure from just skiing some trees early season

Just stop. Think about it. No way a kid

And they were just skiing and like 140lbs
Or nawwww

No way a kid less than 140 should even BE ON 18s, especially if they "didn't go that hard"... Now given that they are light years above their suggested DINs and blew their toe release springs... Either they blatantly abused them at 1000x too much forward pressure while using huge rockered soles in them or you're making this up. For real. In any case, there is more at work here than a crap binding, and that's obvious as fuck.

OK, look at my first reply in this thread. I wouldn't make shit up because that helps nobody. I even like FKS, being my favorite binding. I am telling the truth and my coaches (his coaches too) had no idea what the fuck happened. he had them mounted on chronics and was riding on 8 din. Legitimately don't know what to say. This guy is a great skier but in the park he is more of a fuck around skier. he got warrantied on them but again, I have no idea what happened. Maybe it was just unlucky or something, but it happened to this other kid too.

Well then I am officially perplexed.
Never heard of that even happening on the 15s.

yea he was pissed off but the warrantee pair has held up for 2 seasons including summer sessions and this will be his third season on them going strong.
From the posts he makes I am 100% convinced that parkplayground is both a compulsive lire and a complete moron.

Yeah after I blew apart the jesters i went to FKS. Never even had a thought in my mind that they might break.

I don't see how shitting on me is helping people get answers in this thread. I can give you the kids NS account if you want to ask him yourself, but damn you gotta chill out. I haven't said anything untrue or bullshit...

Well I thought the same thing tbh... The details make no sense. I mean, I believe you but it definitely sounds totally crazy and made up.
I personally prefer the FKS over the Jester because I don't like the way the heel goes into the Jester, but both are solid bindings. I'm always amazed when any solid binding blows up (Jester, FKS, STH etc) I dunno how you guys do break that shit, plastic or metal lol. The only time I can remember a FKS breaking is when Shea Flynn broke his toe piece in a Stept edit (possibly a movie..?). BUT, I have heard a story of a guy at my shop breaking a Jester toe piece, coming out of a tree run he hit a water bar (a stream covered by snow) and just went over the handlebars, other than that I've never heard of these bindings breaking. OP I honestly can say you couldn't make a wrong choice with either of those bindings. In my 4 years in my shop I've never had anyone come in and say they've BROKEN their binding. Normally the binding will not be indemnified (expired basically) before they actually break. Hope this essay helped lol
