So I don't know too much about bindings. I just bought new boots, and they are 5mm smaller then my previous boots. Is there a way that my bindings can be adjusted smaller while staying at true centre, or am I looking at a remount?
You will not notice a 5mm difference at all. Just take them to your local shop and have them adjust the bindings forward and check the forward pressure.
what kind of bindings are you using?
Some if not all have a screw that is easily adjusted with a screwdriver.

they are old px12jibs
do they have a screw? 5mm is nothing you knock that out by yourself
I would still take to a shop to have them adjusted to make sure forward pressure and what not is good.
What kind of bindings do you have? You will save between 25 and 50 depending on the shop. They will more than likely want to remount which i would say might be a good idea anyway. But if you want to do it yourself it is easy and not hard at all.
There should be a clear "window" on the heel piece of the ski. When the boot is in the binding, a yellow tab appears in the window. You want the yellow tab to be as close as possible to covering half the clear window. If that is confusing, let me know or take them to a shop. If you cant get the tab to have some yellow (ie, the whole window is yellow or the yellow doesnt appear, then they need remounted. This all has to do with setting the proper forward pressure.
I will forsure be taking them to a shop, was just curious what options I had before heading in.
Thanks for the help guys
