Im as big of a fan of b dog as the next guy, but honestly it was a little disappointing that a good portion of the film was already used in Oil and Water. The unreleased footage was really sick and i liked the editing but the fact that most of it was B Dog's and Hornbeck's Oil and Water segments reedited was a little bit of a let down. Your thoughts?
it wont load for me on inspired's website is any one else having this issue?

I know that when i clicked the link at the top of NS it wasnt keynote skier, but another film if thats the issue
I love Bdog. In the first half of it, it seemed like a lot of the footage i had already seen from the armada team edit oil and water. The second half though was soooo sick. Best style.
BDOG ONE LOVE
What did you expect? That shit wad fucking banger
phil is seriously pushing some next level stuff.
C.O.O.Pb dogs the most versatile skier
versatile, lolz.
Get a clue.

100% this. I haven't seen Oil and Water but all I know is this shit that I just watched was fire. Casabon is somethin else man..
The movie was awesome! Phil proved once again that he is one of the most stylish and creative skiers out there!
so good. glad i could finally watch it at home because at the premiere i went to the speakers were shot. nice to watch it and enjoy the skiing and the music as a whole.. loved every second of that film . mad respect to b dog. shit straight baller .
I don't think I have said what the fuck and rewound for any other urban part. I just don't even understand some of the shit he is doing. I'm just going to watch this again another thousand times. I can't think of another dude being this creative with urban right now.
Really cool movie overall. The urban shots were off the chain, and lots of the BC jumps were really sick as well. I'm just not sure why they filmed him skiing big mtn lines. It is pretty clear that is not where his talent lies, and he just seems really out of place, with a huddled skiing style and no poles. He should keep doing it if it makes him happy, I'm just not sure that those big mtn shots were at all worthy of the movie.
movie was absurd, you had to expect to see some shots from oil & water but com'on no one can touch his urban game, he destroys concrete.
I don't even care that they re-used footage from Oil and Water. If you were to pay for both Keynote Skier and Oil and Water then you'd have cause to be angry. Was real weird seeing him slay big mountain lines without poles. Never seen that before which was cool but weird at the same time. Offcourse the urban skiing was amazing and I'm pretty sure B-dog just killed anyone who claims the king of butter thread cause B-dog straight up Macbethed those features. Even the small shit like the transfers looked sick.
He put this shit out for free, as was Oil & Water, so reused footage is totally fucking acceptable. Especially when its this high of caliber.
God damm the kid is creative and killing it, so much style. Only watched once but rewound several times, definitely something to watch again and again.
I wonder how long it takes him to get the shot, cause he has a shitload of footage. Definitely a couple of bangers in there, but maybe Phil could focus on quality over quantity a bit more sometimes.

pretty sure he had quality and quantity in there...
I remember seeing it on the tour. I was from the school with the ledge at 5:10, my friends were from the school where there is that concrete bank and a purple rail at 5:35. We screamed when we saw those shots.
Also, I've hit that freakishly long rail at 3:15 (pic on my profile). I will not shut up about how fun it is.

R u pro dood /claim
I don't know why people are actually complaining about this film. Not only was it free, but it had some of the most progressive skiing I've ever seen in my life.
And for the amount of shots that were packed into that short film, there were hardly any re-used clips from Oil and Water.
disappointed? when you are even close to being on his level, MAYBE then you can bitch about using a shot more than 1x.. get lost.
he made the movie by himself, without support from his sponsors. and its free... what more do you want.
That footage was too good to not be put in two movies
After watching that I am sure Phil is the best urban skier in the world. Jesus christ that was insane
Let down: the release of milk in a nursing mother or lactating animal as a reflex response to suckling or massage.
That is the effect of Phil, OP I made your insensitive/bitchy comment over FREE ski material, almost have a positive twist. But get over yourself this shit was FREE be grateful that Phil and Armada released this stuff for free because its nuts.
I am not at all bummed! Really creative skiing brought to old spots as well as some fresh features. Even if shots were used in both films it was free both times so who cares? There should no hate associated with awesome free movies
I was happy to see thlse 4 or 5 shots a second time, could not believe some of the stuff he was doing, so smooth, I really enjoyed both the urban and the backcountry, kind of cool to see someone with urban style in the backcountry, also the things he was doing off those jumps blew me away, I've obviously seen the tricks he was doing before but to see someone with so much style in the air was a treat, really enjoyed the movie and props to him the editing was sick and the movie was free! What more could you ask for
*TACO-DOG*pretty sure he had quality and quantity in there...
What I meant is that a lot of tricks aren't hard for him anymore, they may look good but I'm sure he could come out with even harder / crazier stuff
the concrete bank transfer was insane, never seen an urban segment that was that crazy. That was seriously next level shit. Wish there was more park jump shots, but regardless it was an awesome movie, not even close to being disappointed.

You and your friends sound really cool.

It's the other way around. Oil and Water reused a bunch of shots from Keynote Skier and Road to Zion.
Think about it - Oil and Water is nothing but a promo video for Armada. They weren't going to lay out a bunch of extra money to film when their athletes were already doing it for their own projects. Besides, Henrik and Phil were premiering their films a month before Oil and Water dropped.
Think before you hate next time.
That was the most progressive movie I've ever seen. At least 25% of those shots were things you'd never even see other guys even attempting, and here Phil is nailing them with his signature steeze. I agree that the big mountain was weak but the insanely creative urban more than made up for it.
I loved it, there were very creative urban lines and that nose press on that quad kink was insane.

I've seen him ski and he lands a lot of stuff first try. I'm aware that urban is a lot harder, but still, he's been doing presses, one-footers, grabbing his skis, trannys for quite some time now. I'm sure that instead of logging 3 shots at one spot, he could 1 better / crazier trick. He has some really good stuff, but for example, his ender doesn't really stands out IMO, which shows that he's logging shots, but none really stand out. As a whole, his segment is good, but there's probably 4-5 shots out of all the stuff he has that I'd qualify as hammers, the rest are more like just him skiing like he's used too. Casabon has style, but it doesn't seem like he pushes himself the hardest. But that's just my opinion.
Pure next level stuff. Is it actually possible that Phil drops one of the best parts of the year with some of the more creative urban ever done for free and people start complaining?

The shit you saying is near ridiculous, a lot of the stuff in there was never done or thought of. Would you ever think of skiing the set ups he approaches before you've seen him do it... no. Do you have any idea how much gnarlier everything is in person, there are spots that i saw in many movies in the past in there and he still managed to give a rebirth to these locations. ''Been doing presses/grabbing skis/one foots blablablabla''... dog, do you not see in what type of environment this is happening in! You expecting him to be a super human or something? To each is own but that's wild for me to read...
On another note movie was mad dope.
That was some of the sickest skiing I've ever witnessed.
thought the whole thing was unreal, street shots were next level and the BC hits were unique. Personally love seeing some peeps ski no poles in pow- super sick movie

meme chose pour moi man
un real. soooo good. the shots of him when hes wearing the orange vest are by far some of the sickest things ive seen done on skis. the dude is so aware of wheres hes at at all times in his tricks its unreal. you see him do a press and think, itd be so dope if he popped a 180 out , and he fucking does then butters.
kids un a whole other level that was so SICK!!!!
Don't call me a groupie, but I was going to say exactly what hoodcrew said. Seeing Bdog( and Henrick in oil&water) absolutely sending BC shit sans poles was sick. I know you guys both send urban, but I was supremely impressed.
Inb4 I'm a groupie, or whatever.
Shut up OP. That movie was free. It is unlikely that OP will ever make any contribution to the world of skiing. Go put on your Saga hoodie and remain yet unaware of the history of freeskiing, and of how fantastic it is to live in a world where you can click and watch a short ski film with 0 zero effort from your part. It wasn't remotely that way 10 years ago when our ski viewing consisted of a relatively small selection of ski movies for purchase, and that's it. The joys of being 16.
