I just ordered a pair of Look Pivot 10 for super duper cheap but the brakes are 75 mm. My ski's have a waist width of 102 mm... Is there any possible way that these brakes will fit after bending them? If not, can I buy wider brakes for the pivots?
ugh. i mean they were only $15 so im not complaining too much
goodnoooough. i mean they were only $15 so im not complaining too much
Wait do they have the swivel heels?
.LincolnWait do they have the swivel heels?
no
Oh then if you can't bend the brake far enough you can change the brake. I thought it was the swivel heel and those are a little more difficult to deal with. You'll be fine
has anyone been able to successfully bend a brake this small to at least 100 mm?

Depends on how strong the brake is. I could bend my old marker free 10s a good amount but I wouldn't get very good results bending the brake on my new marker dukes
You may be able to bend them but they won't be that effective. Your looking at making them about 3 cm wider. That mean each arm will be about 15mm shorter an also the angle is unluckily to be great after bending. So even if you get them wide enough they won't be effective and may not stop the skis. See if you can find some replacement brakes or sell them on.

okay thanks
Bending brakes that much is serious business. You may want to remove the actual metal brake component from the brake assembly and throw it in a vice. Heat is key if you don't want to snap the brakes, but I really just recommend selling the 75s and buying larger ones.
