So I have a Quantaray 70-300mm F/4.0-5.6 Zoom Lens (crappy lense that I got for free) for a Minolta AF mount. My problem is that I have canon t2i and the lenses obviously are not compatible with my camera. I've looked around at some adapters but I'm confused on which one to buy because it seems like there are many different adapters for many different specific mounts. If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be much appraicted. Thanks

It would probably be cheaper to buy a Canon 70-300

You cant simply adapt minolta lens to Canon body because the difference in flange focal distance equals 0.5 mm. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flange_focal_distance. With thicker than 0.5mm adapter you loose infinity focus or even can't focus at all. There is the only way if adapter contains correction optics but it is often soft and crappy. http://www.ebay.com/itm/EMF-AF-Confirm-Sony-Alpha-Minolta-MA-Lens-to-Canon-EOS-EF-Mount-Adapter-Ring-/200968856536?pt=US_Lens_Adapters_Mounts_Tubes&hash=item2ecaad63d8
