ever since the ski season ended for me ive been nothing but stoked for next season, beyond the stoke ive ever felt for anything ive been stoked for in my life. literally, skiing is all i think about all day since april when the snow melted. every day i go on NS and watch loads of videos. i put my boots and skis on and stand in my room like every 2 days. i feel like im in love as skiing is the first and last thing i think about every day. i think about skiing more than my gf. when shes over i sometimes get distracted looking at ski related shit on my phone. so overall, idk, im in love with skiing and i cant wait for the next season. its all i want. do i have a problem
I guarantee ppl are gonna be like, "welcome to newschoolers OP" and give you shit.
But i feel you 100%. Skiing fucking rules. Not a day goes by when i dont think about it. One Love
yes you have a major problem if you would rather slip into ski boots then your gf
no your not the only one op. im obsessed too. im on ns 24/7 and constantly watching edits. im super stoked for next season and my new gear thats coming. and ya i put my boots and skis on and do nose presses and practice ollying when my parents arent home lol
I used to feel how you felt, come august I would just fiend skiing. Now that I've gotten older, I find joy in other activities so I'm kinda stoked its still summer. Definitely looking forward to sept/oct when its super nice outside and not too hot.
Fall will be here before you know it and you are already running out of time to train. The better shape you are in the more fun you will have when the time comes. Stay stoked!
Basically I feel ya, but I have analyzed it in a different way.
All summer I drown myself in work, with occasional times off to hangout with a couple old friends.
In the winter, I go to college, I hangout with so many different people, and I work a lot less at jobs that are more fun, and I ski all the time.
My point being that when you are young and in school, winter is oddly appealing. You are always surrounded by friends and as a skier, its awesome. For a lot of us, life is easier in the winter, and we assosciate skiing with the good life
I'm with you man. I'm on ns every day, and I'm always thinking about trying new tricks or slashing some pow. Im super stoked for next season especially because my season was cut short this year by breaking my ski haha
holy shit me too. literally all i do is sit at my computer all day looking at edits, gear, and ns. everywhere i go i look for new urban spots. all i can think about is skiing.
skiing is love, skiing is LIFE
it's not ogre, it's never ogre
yes i agree. make a summer setup, it will keep you occupied
smellsyes i agree. make a summer setup, it will keep you occupied
+1
Just don't break anything going too hard at the beginning of the season.
I've seen stoke go broke on the first day.

spot on
Yup. Next season is season #2 for me so I'm definitely feeling it too. Fortunately I've been able to immerse myself in other summer activities though.
Everyone in the northwest is just like me reading this, "thank god for hood."

I mean the east has Snowflex. It's not real snow or anything but it's still rad as hell if you're a park skier

This. I wish I'd learned how to enjoy summer earlier in life. Give it a shot guys.

Unless you live within about 2 or 3 hrs going to hood is still a trip, whether you drive 4 hrs or 24 hrs. Also it's pretty expensive for what you get, sure it's super fun but about 4 hrs of shredding max and if you come after July 1st you're probably hiking to the bottom of the lift to take laps or hiking the park.
Don't get me wrong, I've gone to hood may a time and paid for passes and barely been able to lap the mile and it's still so fun.
Skiing is the reason that I keep going to pt after acl recon in hopes I can be back in time
