everyone says line skis arent very durable, snap easily and are just constantly bagging on them. are they really that bad? if you have not ridden or do not own a pair of lines do not give input. thnaks yo
really depends on the ski. The first 2 years of afterbangs were bad and delaminated easily. Masterminds are garbage but priced as such so thats kind of expected.
All their other skis are generally better quality. The maplelite cores or whatever they were with different wood in the tips had some issues with snapping on backseat landings, but I'm pretty sure they are getting rid of those in this years. Aside from that their topsheets chip really easily but thats not really anything more then cosmetic.

also I should mention I have ridden both 2011 afterbangs and 2014 chronics and had no issues other then top sheet chipping on either, but I'm also a tiny person
No But people buy the cheaper skis and expect more then what they pay for.
Line skis are relatively cheaper. You get what you paid for. People expect their line ski to be able to handle anything. I snapped my Line TC's after two seasons on them and was pretty pleased on how they handled. Pretty good for a price point ski.
It depends on the person. I have had armadas split apart in 50 days and that's only half a season for me. I have had skis not even last me 5 days without snapping them as well. With my height and weight nothing really lasts more than a season. This season I only had my head johnnys last 15 days before the base came off the edges.
Armada and head are decent quality yet I still blow them all up under a season for me. If you are slamming on metal rails and just thrashing the shit out of your equipment nothing will hold up. I'm going to be trying out on3p this season to see if there is a "durable" ski that exists and lasts a season.
if you buy masterminds (ie pricepoint entry level ski) yes they will break quite easily because there's nothing to them. as far as the big boy skis go, there haven't been any durability issues lately.
their top end skis are good from what i know, but a lot of their park skis are toys with shitty bases. it blows my mind how many times ive seen questions like ar7s or line TCs? on here. unless you need the price point, get some higher quality park skis. it's all good though of course, all skis works really well nowadays
I'm pretty happy with my Bacons. They're at around 270 days, and just started to get a little bit of delam on one of the tails. Popped a rivet in there with hopes of getting another 100 days out of them. Bases are fairly durable as well. I hit a few rocks in the end of the season and they did not get gouged too badly.
Masterminds suck so much. I had 2 friends, who honestly are not the best skiers, and baby their skis, whos skis snapped
They scratch easy and snap easy. At least the ones under $400 do...
i had a problem with the OG ep pro (brown) and ripping bindings out of elizabeths, both were replaced on warranty. my other about 10 pairs of lines treated me fondly
SwaggyPAnyone know the durability on the blends
Again it depends. I have seen a few of the blends snap right on the butter zones. I know there is a thread on here of someone snapping them right in the butter one and didn't get too much time on them.
Lines are pricepoint skis like everyone said. the build quality isnt as high as many other brands, and the performance is far below my standards. Granted, I have high standards and try to buy the best possible ski to fit what I am looking for. That being said, they are still a ton of fun, and if you just want a ski to do crazy stuff they are a good choice because their durability is pretty good.
It really depends on the different skis, but if you want go buy a pair that will hold up you should go for the chronic, a lot of them can't handle much
I managed to snap 2 sets of chronics in one season. MADE IN CHINA

Haha damn, well then i guess none of them really holds up..
This season will be my 4th season with my Sir Francis Bacon as my daily driver... I LOVE LINES. My first pair of lines were the 142cm Mike Nick Pro. OG AS FUCK. CLAIM

It seems like line park skis are kind of weak but The all mountain/pow skis are pretty durable
Just don't buy Afterbangs, the tips and tails just split and fall apart and the Afterbangs snap far too easily. Their other newer park skis are good though and their all mountain and powder skis are great it seems.
