Finally, I just got Adobe Premiere pro and I would like some criticism and feedback. I'd Rather ask people on the site then watch a bunch of YouTube videos from people who I'm not if there creditable compared to most people on here who are. Thanks and +k to those comment.
Sweeeet, maybe it would be good to throw a snippet of a song in just to get used to cutting the clips to the beat and all that.
^ Ya true. only reason I didn't was becasue it was 19 seconds but Thanks man.
I got one piece of advice:
Get familiar with the 'Source' window. (Double clicking a clip from your project manager will open it up in there)
Setting in and out points is a lot easier to manage than throwing an entire clip on timeline and chopping it up.
You a gamer? WASD to walk around? Get your hand on the other side of the keyboard..... IO JKL .
I - set in point
O - set out point
J - play in reverse
K - pause
L - play forward (tap for 2x, 4x, 8x speed)
. - add selection to timeline
Premiere will remember your last selection (in/out point), so it's handy if you are going through a fuckload of footy and can't remember which clip you were working on.
by the way, you got some skills, those clips we good. (as a personal preference, I limit the amount of transition fades, but that's my style)
^ thanks man. Ya I definitely need to get more familiar with the keyboard.
It takes some getting used to, but every mouse drag you can avoid will put off carpel tunnel for a tiny bit longer. (Gotta be kind to every part of your body when you have a dangerous hobby/passion like skiing)
you should look up tutorials on how to use more of premiere pro's features like masking and mixing sound tracks. the more you use it the less complicated all the displays and tools will seem and you will be able crate higher quality edits :)
