First of I bought these skis because right when I became a skier Sean Petite was ripping these and I though Sean, and the graphics on these skis were the greatest things ever. Fast forward a few years and I actually own these skis. I will admit, they did not give me the skills of Sean. I found them too soft for the snow I get here at schweitzer, sure they are fun, but they also require so much work that I did not really love skiing pow on them. What I did love using them for was park. i don't like skiing park and I don't like park skis. These changed my attitude, they love to lazily press and slather their way through the park. On these skis you don't look at the park the same way, now I feel like Fujas as I gape my way through the park. If 180's are your favorite trick and IDEA is your favorite movie these planks are for you.

It was so lively and quick without ever feeling too stiff or twitchy that I forgot my hate for park skis. My buddy who actually likes park skis agreed, he found it to be super solid and responsive while still keeping skiing fun.

I got a few laps on the 192 Jeffery 122's and the word I would use to describe them is stable. These are not the kind of ski I would usually be interested in. These are long, wide, reasonably stiff chargers. I didn't get too much time on them but I was surprised by how nimble they could be. I didn't realize I was on the 192's till I gave them back but I never noticed their length, unless I was straight lining something and I needed it, then they felt rock solid. I would love to ski these back to back with a 192 bentchetler or rocker 2 122 to see how they all line up.

I got some time on the Kartel 106 at Beartooth Basin and I came away wanting it as my one ski quiver. I did not get to ride any pow with it so my one reservation is its soft snow performance. Otherwise I found it very impressive. It was easy to turn and felt very nimble but was also capable of laying down a mean carve. It fell into that sweet spot of stability and maneuverability where I never found a speed limit on it but I never felt like I was trying to turn a tank either. It is skinny enough to not feel idiotic in the park but fat enough that I feel like it should be able to handle some decent pow. If I get a chance to ride the Kartel's in some different snow I will update this review, for now they are on my short list of favorite skis.

I got to spin some laps on ON3P's Kartel 98 at the Beartooth summer session and I have to say I was impressed. These skis were super fun, they would be a great all mountain ski for days without too much fresh. I was not able to test them in pow but I would assume based off the dimensions that they would be fine in shallow or denser snow but would probably sink in the good stuff. As a playful crud buster or wider park ski these are awesome. They are stiff enough to charge in the rough but still super playful and fun in the park. I definitely came away wanting more time with the Kartels.

If you have the touch screen monitor it is actually much easier to use than most DSLR's. If you shoot with this camera be prepared to handle gigabytes of files. Obviously a really nice camera, if you get your hands on one be nice to it.

All in all a super solid and affordable lens, kind of a one ski quiver of the lens world.

The autofocus was not great and the ergonomics and durability could have been better. It did not have any real downfalls, I upgraded because the 7d shoots more FPS and is made of metal, both major plusses in my book. I highly recommend the t2i as a beginner camera and please feel free to message me with any questions about it.

I got this vest last summer and have just recently started to really use it. I bought the large size and while it is about two inches too long for street wear it is perfect for skiing. It fits prettily slimly and has a super handy iPod pocket with a zipper. It also has two hand pockets with zippers and a button flap/ They are big enough for some food, a go pro, and even my film camera. The vest has not gotten too wet yet but it seems like it shouldn't soak through and get too soggy. My only complaint has been that one of the snaps for the pocket flaps pulled out. This is not a big deal but is kind of a bumnmer. All in all this is a great looking vest at a great price!

I used this jacket for a couple of years and it preformed well. I never got wet wearing it and the zip in liner was super handy. It kept me warm and dry throughout the whole range of northwest conditions. It is very heavy since it has magnets keeping the zipper flap closed but I think this tradeoff is worth it. The internal media pocket was the most handy I have ever used and the magnetic flap was great. It let me close my pass into the flap so that is didn't flap around while skiing and then pull it out easily to be scanned, The magnetic hood was handy too. The hood worked well with or without a helmet. All in all this was a great coat that I highly recommend.

I have skied a little bit of everything on these sticks and loved them. By the numbers they look like a great park ski which they are but they also kill it all over the mountain. In crud, on ice, in the park, and even in powder they do just fine. These won't be the best powder ski out there but they do much better then the specs suggest. They are also very light and poppy which makes them a lot of fun to play around on. These are a great park or all mountain ski and could be a great one ski quiver for someone who doesn't ski a lot of pow

I got these for really cheap off backcountry.com for my pow skis and so far they have done pretty well. They feel very solid and are pretty light. I have had some issues with the right binding prereleasing on the landings of tiny side hits but I did mount and adjust the bindings myself so that is probably part of the problem. These feel much more durable then my squires but at this point I almost prefer my squires just because I have never had any problems with them and they are lighter. All in all these are a solid binding for a reasonable price.

I realize that this is a bike pack but I used it as a ski pack for years so I feel like it deserves a review. This bag is a nice slim pack that can hold the essentials and not much more. I used the armor straps to carry my skis in an a frame style and I put my avi shovel in the back helmet pocket. This combination worked well for shot hikes but not as well as the diagonal cable carry on my helipro. This pack is great for resort riding and short hikes but for long hike I would recommend a bigger ski specific pack. I have had and some issues with the zipper pulls falling apart just like my other dakine bag but so far nothing structural has broken after three years of use in school, mountain biking, and skiing.

I have used these shoes for just about everything since I backed the company on kickstarter and so far they have lived up to the hype. They are waterproof, durable, and fly. I wore them on a three day camping trip to hood this summer that included a hike from the bottom up far past the top of t-line, a long hike into punchbowl falls and a lot of miscellaneous walking in varying conditions. They preformed consistently regardless of terrain. They excelled on the snow and rough volcanic rock of Hood and the slick moss of punchbowl. I have also used them for many other hikes, for mountain biking, hunting and work. I hiked 15 miles through calf deep snow on a hunting trip and they kept my feet mostly dry. I also pressure washed a warehouse in single digit weather ( the water froze as it hit the floor) for a day in them and they kept me comfortable. So far durability has been great, they look almost as good as they did when I bought them. They still smell good and they kill it in all conditions, from summer hiking trips to winter exploring to work, to classy parties, these shoes are the complete package!

I got these goggles for a good deal and they preformed solidly. They fit my medium face well and gave amy a good enough field of view. The green lens I got with them does well in most light conditions but it does make it hard to see in flat light. The lens does not scratch easily and resist fogging pretty well. Unfortunately it did fog once all day but that was because after a wet PNW pow day I stuck them in my bag with my socks and then tried to use them the next day without letting them dry out. All in all a solid goggle for cheap

I have had a few problems though, the cuffs are not super durable and do get cut up. The flap over the zipper also does that annoying thing where it pops out and makes it look like your fly is down even if it isn't. This is not a big deal but I thought I would mention it. The pockets are a bit tight since these are slim fit so I like to put stuff in my coat instead. All in all these are a great slim fit pant.

I bought this coat for streeet-wear and for more casual days on the mountain. The good: This coat looks great, It has kind of classy more mature look that I really like. It fits very true to size and is pretty comfortable. It is also very warm The bad: I usually like to wear a shell and since this coat is pretty insulated I have overheated a few times. Down to single digits I wear only a t-shirt under it and I often need to open the pit vents. The pit vents are another small problem, they zip so that when they are closed the zipper with its little leather pull is hanging off your arm close to you elbow, this is a very small problem but I find it slightly distracting. The hood is a button on type but it comes off very easily, sometimes when I have to slide sideways on a chair it unbuttons which is annoying. This jacket is great for street-wear and those days on the mountain when you want to look a little more mature.

I got this jacket used through a trade here on newschoolers and so far I like it. The good: This jacket is very waterproof and since I got the XL it fits like a tent. This means that I never have to worry about snow getting anywhere I don't want it It has a lot of large pockets making it easy to cary all my gear. It is a shell which means that I can choose how much to layer according to the temperature. I have used it in -40 F weather with a heavy flannel under it and been fine. The vents are also large and easy to use. The Bad: I think the is jacket is kind of ugly but that is a very personal choice. The biggest problem I have is that the hood is not big enough to wear over a helmet which would be a plus on those cold days. The collar can also be irritating on my neck when it is zipped all the way up. My biggest beaf is that the two from pockets don't really drop down into the coat and that they unzip upwards, this means that if you have anything in them and unzip one everything will fall out. This didn't seem like a big deal until I lost my phoneme off the lift. All in all this is a great coat for those days when I don't care how I look and just want to shred around in a waterproof tent

I got this helmet for a really good deal and have really liked it so far with some reservations. First the good: The helmet looks great and seems like it will do a good job protecting my head. It does not have a lot of vents which I actually like since I usually hike with my helmet off anyway. It works well with goggles either over or under it. The bad: The ear pads really do suck. They slide out of the helmet and are really not worth the energy to get them to stay in place. This is fine with me anyway since I bike with this helmet as well and so I took them out anyway. They do have a pocket for headphones if you so desire but I would recommend gluing them up into the helmet if you keep them on it. The helmet is also not super adjustable and it has a plastic cradle in the back of it to keep it on your head that can be a bit uncomfortable if you put in on wrong. It also is a bit big so some hoods may not fit over it. All in all this is a good helmet with some small problems.

The lenses are a little hard to switch out and it is not the kind of thing I would like to do on the chairlift. Luckily the fire lens preforms really well in almost all conditions and even at the end of the day in foggy north Idaho I have not had a problem with visibility. This was a bit of a surprise since I had a few days last year where my medium tint smith lens mad it really hard to see anything in the evening. They fit my medium face very well and interface with my helmet (Smith Gage) perfectly. I will update this review later this season with information on durability and extended performance. These goggles have been great for me so far

I have 30ish days on these on a pair of atomic blogs, I have skied everything from park to out of bounds on this combo and they have been great. They are super light and have been reliable for me. I have heard the horror stories but at 6'1" 180lbs and a reasonably aggressive skier they have never let me down. They are a very cheap and light binding. They can be a little hard to clip into at first as you have to make sure the back lever goes all the way up but I don't even notice this anymore. I have hit big jumps in the park and dropped cliffs up to 15ft on them and never had a problem. Part of the plastic on the mounting plate of one of then toes did chip off but it was just decorative and did not affect the binding structurally. All in all a great binding at a great price!

Overall A great one ski quiver for my area, the northwest. If you want a ski that can play in the powder, drop cliffs with ease, slay the crud, and still shred the groomers you might want to give the blogs a look. Performance These skis are preforming admirably, so far I have skied groomers, ice, 21 in of fresh, and a lot of chopped up crud. they carve well on groomers although obviously they slip on ice like any other ski. In the deep stuff they float well and are fun to surf around. In the park they preform well on jumps, I have not done any grinding on them. In crud you can either plow through or bounce around more playfully. I prefer the second method and although these skis can charge they are much more fun to bounce around and air off of every available bump. Design I dont love the topsheet but that is obviously a very personal opinion. Value These were a great value on sale new for 300$ Fit I am 6'1" and 178 lbs, I am skiing the 185cm model mounted at the team line. These skis fit perfectly. They are long enough to provide stability at any speed I can take them too but do not feel too long in the trees or tight areas. Characteristics Flex is soft and predictable, soft tips and tails make for easy presses and a playful feel, however the ski never feels noodly or too soft. It has plenty of pop and is very forgiving Durability Because these are a sidewall ski durability does suffer some, the edges of the topsheet do chip pretty easily, however these are all cosmetic issues. The bases do seem a bit soft and prone to scratching, however that could just be my poor line choice.

Overall Stoked on the bag, makes hiking with my planks so much easier Performance This bag preforms very well, all the straps and pockets are very easy to use and helpful, the ski carry options are very handy. Design The bag looks and feels very good. The grey color does not show dirt very well and is classy enough to look good at school and on the mountain. The only real quibble I have with the design is the lack of inside pockets. There is only a hydration sleeve in the main pocket and no smaller pockets in the secondary compartment, this makes it hard to keep smaller gear organized. The bag is comfortable and spacious enough to carry a lot of stuff. Unfortunately the zipper pulls are not very durable either, two of them came off within the first few months of use, this is not really a big deal though since they are easily replaced with loops of large zip tie. Value For my price (50$) the bag was a great deal. I would probably pay the full price (around100$) if I had not found the discount.
