Overall Overall an excellent pack with a few minor flaws. Durable and a good deal if you can get it on sale. Performance This pack performed well. I was able to easily fit my shovel and probe into its front pocket and it fit a change of ski socks, skins, a lunch , and an extra base layer shirt easily, with some room to spare. It was fairly water resistant and I was able to carry my skis with it knowing that they secure and attached to the pack easily. Design I enjoyed the features such as the helmet mesh at the top of the pack and the Velcro that keeps the straps rolled up and attached to themselves. The pack fit comfortably after a few quick adjustments to the straps. Some flaws include that the zippers are a pain to open and that when the pack is not extremely full the straps for carrying a snowboard cannot tighten all the way. The straps are all also VERY long. This is mostly solved by the Velcro loops that can be used to keep the ends rolled up, but it still seems that some of the extra length should have been removed. Value This pack was a solid deal for a larger ski pack at just under 50 (48 something) dollars when i bought it. It is high quality, durable, and performs well.
