Penspinning is a form a manipulative art where you maneuver a pen around your fingers in an aesthetically pleasing manner. I have been Penspinning for about 7 months now and was wonder what NS's opinion would be on it.
Above is a collaboration video of multiple (VERY good) Penspinners
Below is me :3
I have a Taiwanese exchange student in a couple of my classes and he taught me how to do this, but hes crazy with it like the people in the vids. He got the whole school into doing this.
a bunch of people in my school will do this, and hold the pen with pointer and middle finger and one side, holding in the thumb on the other. i found this picture on google by seaching pen spinning.
drop your index finger and the force of your thumb and middle finger should automatically rotate it. it takes a lot of practice but eventually it should go around your thumb and you should be able to catch it again exactly how you started.
i just got into this not to long ago. its pretty intriguing and a major time killer, and you can buy some sick custom pens specifically for this at: pen island.com
yeah I can do the thumb one at :33 like a champ. I'd consider that to be the most basic one. Kids seriously get so distracted around me in class. I do it out of habit during lectures and shit and I will look up and see like 6 or 7 people just staring at me trying to figure out how to do it and dropping there pens and shit. I actually had a professor ask me to please stop doing it because it was distracting the majority of the class. I started back in algebra class in high school took me about a month to master with either hand. (yeah i do switch pen spins all day). I can also spin one pen in each hand simultaneously. I recently figured out a way to return it to the starting position with my pinky that kind of makes it continuous when done smoothly.
i do that in class constantly. i watched other kids do it and practiced in class and finally got it, but there were periods where i would drop the pen every couple seconds and it'd make noise and i'd get yelled at
thats pretty good dude. i have the continuous spin between the middle and ring finger down. been trying the thumb spin where you initiate with the index, but i can't get it to stay.
